Strangely enough, it looks like the custom, single sided swingarm, Buell that was built. Same headlights, swingarm, and tail section. |

>>>Replacement for the Monster. Let's hope not. The Monster is a timeless and elegant design. That Streetfighter looks clunky, complex and ill proportioned. I also note, on their very nice and flashy intro webpage, that to get the things that makes the bike desirable (traction control, the 150hp and so forth) that you have to opt, ala 1089S, for the upgraded "S" version . . . likely $20,000+. I'd go for a good old Monster or a Hypermotard any day . . .but you can keep this thing. Ducati seems to be in the "search" mode. |

"Search mode" sounds about right. Take the badges off, and it could be anybody's bike. Booooring. ~SM |

"Replacement for the Monster." All the Monsters are now aircooled. There's no more S4. So yes, this sorta does. |

Glitzy, fancy, and highbrow...... just the opposite of what I love in my Lightning. (and don't even think about getting Cityxslicker started in this conversation!) |

10% "more" bike for twice the price. I don't see the "value". |

Brian doesn't own that anymore Jon. He now built this and to my understanding. Its going to be a special order small run. I'll take it over any of the above.

$14.995 for the standard, $18,995 for the "S". The "S" will have Olins suspension, & traction control, carbon fiber bits. It looks like it is basically a naked 1098. |

They are not replacing the Air Cooled Monster. It is their best seller and they just redesigned the thing. This is probably a replacement for the water cooled Monsters though. |

It's a naked 1098, isn't it? What Ducati calls the Streetfighter. There was one on display at the D.C. IMS, along with the revised Monster. |
