Got a tall seat now. The big surprise is the big improvement it made with the leg comfort. If it ever quits raining, I'll do a 300 mile day and really get a "seat of the pants" opinion. Put the grip puppies on also. I cut one in half and set that half to the outer edge of the grips. I lost too much precise feel when racing the rocket bike boys on the twisty' with a full grip. Half a grip works well enough. |

I have an 06 seat on my 08 as well. I also added the Precision Engineering 2" drop pegs. Talk about leg room! NUTS |

Love my 06 seat on the 08, drop pegs are next, any issues with shifter and brake adjustments with the 2" drop? |

I put an '06 Low seat on my '08 XT
I've got a 30"inseam, and it makes the bike much nicer. |

I have an '06 seat which is too tall for me. I switched to the optional '06 low seat but it could be more comfortable. If anyone has an 07 or 08 seat to trade for a stock orange and black 06 seat let me know... |

Nutsosane I have a question about your 2" drop pegs... since the stock pegs are about 1" drop, then the 2" drop pegs must be about 1" lower... am I right? |

Growl; that is correct. Here's the link to Performance Engineering: http://www.preeng.com/xcart/product.php?productid= 29&cat=8&page=1 |

wife says my ass is flat, what ever; the '06 seat on my '08xt is a big improvement in comfort. Combined with the 1 in. bar risers from American Sportbike it's nearly unbeatable. Also I think the taller seat leaves less of the thigh exposed to the heat. |

Minor, easy adjustment needed for the shift/brake levers. If you fancy yourself some record breaking lean angle~ist then the lower pegs might touch down sooner than you require. If you want to eat big miles in comfort, then give precision engineering a call. NUTS |

I don't think I could drop my pegs. Already grinding the edge of my boots in some corners. No chicken strips on the edge of the back tire. These Uly's surprise the rocket boys. |

Bringing my father and brothers into motorcycling has slowed me down(not that I was fast)and I must admit it is a welcomed change. I find myself breaking off from the pack of fast riders and finding my own way, most days. If I want to act like a goon I"ll take my DR-Z out for some gravel road hooning. NUTS |
