Anyone have the part numbers for the axle wrench, and the clutch release tool (for replacing the clutch diaphram cover)?? I'm trying to buy them from an online parts database and its not recognizing parts b-46279 (axle wrench), and b-49125 (release tool). these are numbers that I got from the service manual. |

Those appear to be the right part numbers. You will have to get with either your local dealership or one of the dealerships that surf these forums to order those pieces most likely. That axle wrench should have come with the bike in your tool bag. It'll look like a large, long nut with a circlip on it. It'll be located in the tool bag under the passenger seat. I say this just in case you didn't already know. You may have just misplaced it and need to reorder for all I know, but cover the basics first. It does not appear Jims has an aftermarket tool available for that job yet as far as I can see. I'm sure a dealership on here would be glad to sell you those tools if possible. Those are the right part numbers, I just don't believe the online databases will carry them yet if they can at all. Specialty tools are sometimes a taboo when it comes to who can sell and buy them. Good Luck. Those are the right numbers. ST |

Those look like restricted parts. If so, a dealer is not supposed to sell them retail - just for dealer techs. If so, wait for a Jim's or make your own. I used a socket and a pair of Vise-Grips when I replaced my cover. I've used a screwdriver handle(nylon, hex, right size) for an axle wrench, also with vise-grips. Z |

This part works well for the axle tool...I don't have one for the clutch cover. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-prodshow/9153.html

What's wrong with the axle tool in the tool kit? |
