I seem to remember reading that the headlight bulbs are H8, but I've just seen these on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buell-1125R-08-2008 -White-Xenon-H7-HID-Light-Bulbs_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ _trksidZp3286Q2em63Q2el1177QQhashZitem230337291835 QQitemZ230337291835QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPar tsQ5fAccessories So are the bulbs H8 or H7 ? |

It is an H8. I can't find the chart I wanted to show you but there are some critical differences in the dimensions and the terminals/ plugs. |

Those bulbs are NOT HIDs. The package says "Xenon" then "HID Brightness" They are Halogens - a wire, heated in Xenon gas by current flow. HIDs require a high-voltage power supply, or "starter/igniter" and fire an arc across a gap, like a streetlight. The frequency of the igniter controls the color output. The bulbs in the ad depend on a colored coating - they are NOT as bright as HIDs but might be brighter than the OEMs. And like Neil says, they aren't even the right type. Z |
