Out at the local Harley dealer out here I saw a poster that this dealer was sponsoring the "new Myrtle Beach motorcycle rally" Does anyone know if this is just a feeble attempt at recreating that rally or are they legit? (I live in New Bern, NC) | ||

Patrick - not sure what the intent is of the Rally. From what I've read, it will be held at the fairgrounds. I think a few of us locals will venture over and see what it holds. Check out Carolina Corner Carvers. With the weather getting nicer, we'll be taking some rides down towards Jacksonville to have lunch at Fish Camp. Have you met 1313? He also lives in New Bern. | ||

no can't say that I have, I'm a little new around here, would be nice to meet some bueller's in this area as well! (that said, i'm off to Afghanistan in a week and a half for the better part of a year so perhaps when I get back!) | ||

(I live in New Bern, NC) HOLY SHEET! I'm awake now! I'm typing this in New Bern, NC right now! New Bern - for the newlywed or nearly dead! And I ain't either! But I digress... Patrick, I just sent you a PM, so check the Email you registered on BadWeB with. I have such high hopes for the New Bern Rally, that I will be out of New Bern that weekend at the only real biker event (I play on both sides of the fence...) I know of in North Carolina. The Horse Backstreet Choppers Magazine Smoke Out Honestly, I hope the New Bern Rally does well, even though I have never had a good experience with the people behind bringing the rally to New Bern. I'm not expecting it to be anything near what Myrtle Beach had to offer (both good and bad). From what I've been able to gather the 'event' will be at the fairgrounds, the fairgrounds will close at 11:00 p.m. during the rally, and Sin Sity (the only bar in New Bern - which there ain't enough of - that had bike parking only) closed last Sunday. So, to me, it sounds like a "let's test the waters" type of event. Enough babbling on my part. Check your E-mail and get back to me, 1313  | ||

hey all, thanks for the PM's and the well wishes (I'll get back to you I promise) that quote about newly weds or nearly deads is pretty funny... I do fall into the newly wed category I suppose (does 4 mo still count?) anyhow, well I suppose I won't get to make it to the rally one way or another but hopefully I'll get to ride with a few of you soon (perhaps before I go) ps I'm not exactly a hard core buell guy yet... just bought a blast to commute (have a GSXR750, had a couple bikes... first buell) but the wife and I are looking into a Uly. |
