My bike's been torn down since November. I had a string of breakdowns and just didn't feel like messing with it. I got motivated and put it back together the other night. I rode it down the street and it felt 'wobbly'. I got it back home. Axles tight? Check. Cinch bolts tight? Check. Suspension settings okay? Check. Front tire pressure at 36 psi? Check. Rear tire pressure at 38 psi? Nope. Keep it simple stoopid. I can't believe I didn't check tire pressure first... |

Don't be so hard on yourself. I was riding in a group of cruisers last year, when at the end of the ride, I noticed the bike in front of me had a flat rear tire. I pulled up next to him and told him. He didn't even know. Pulled over and discovered the rear was completely flat, and the front had almost no air in it. Wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it myself. Its an easy thing to overlook when you just want to get out there in a hurry. |
