Gluing usually wont hold it. Use a piece of band steel or scrap to make a brace.Use 2 screws to hold it in place. |

Somehow I don't think this failure is too uncommon. That tang was broken off on both of my Blasts when I got them. In both cases was able to make a repair with a piece of bar aluminum, slid it in where the tab had been (there was a rectangular hole left where the tang used to be) I drilled and threaded the bar stock, drilled a hole in the plastic and put a 10-32 screw through into the tapped hole in the bar stock. Bent the tang down a bit, now it fits perfectly. I'd dare say it's better than factory. |
