Dealer recommended syn-3 on the first oil change for this bike. The tech had just got back from the 1125R training and said unlike the XB's they recommend Syn-3 when it's new. |

Q1064.1AM is the part # you are looking for I believe for the filter. Syn3 at the 620 service is not a problem. It's even recommended: https://www.buell.com/om/99480-08Y_en/file-6.asp#h dtopic007160 Q0091.1AM is the p/n for the washers btw. (Message edited by P_squared on March 31, 2009) |

SYN-3 is semi-syn, so it's ok... but there are superior (and less expensive) oils you can use- and you won't be supporting Chavez's socialist regime. |

there are two different washers/sealing rings you need to change the oil. In the parts manual page 22 Q0091.1AM SEALING RING $4.00 Q1050.1AM DRAIN PLUG, w/ Q0091.1AM $8.49 page 94 Q0092.1AM SEALING RING $5.00 Q1350.1AM PLUG, w/ Q0092.1AM $24.95 or you can turn them over and re-use them |

Or use a piece of 600 grit sandpaper and just rough them up again....good as new every time |

there are two washers/sealing rings, they are on two different pages, thats why some dealers get them mixed up. I also had my dealer sell me two small ones. In the parts manual page 22 Q0091.1AM SEALING RING $4.00 or Q0091.1AM SEALING RING w/Q1050.1AM DRAIN PLUG, $8.49 page 94 Q0092.1AM SEALING RING $5.00 or Q0092.1AM SEALING RING w/Q1350.1AM DRAIN PLUG, $24.95 |
