Anybody have any ingenious ideas for the iPass (toll pass) for our bike? I can't mod the bar type, they just don't fit. I bought the suction cup type and it makes swirlies on my new blue windshield. Aside from velcroing it to my forehead, any thoughts?

Can't you fit it in the fairing?

Maybe underneath.

I put mine in the front of the fairing in the little space right under the forward tip of the windshield... two pieces of velcro later its standing straight up and down and catches everytime I go through

I-pass reads my plate. I don't need the transponder, and I don't think you do either.

I thought they were RF? If so, no need for a specific position, just proximity.

Court had an ingenious solution for the Ipass...

He took Henrik's and used it. : )

Kinda averaged out . . . I thought it was the 100% solution . . . Henrik thought 0% . . . you do the math.

: )

Mine is inside the fairing on my Ulysses.

I have mine all the way in the front

I switched from the one in the picture with two suction cups to one with only one suction cup, and it sits even farther up in the fairing.

It works great and you can barely see it up in the fairing.

Either under the fairing, in your jacket pocket, or my preference is in the tank bag so it can be easily swapped from bike to bike.

+1 ^^^^.

I've got mine under the passenger seat on the Firebolt. When I had the Uly I stuck it to the inside of the lid of the top case.

I'll have to try the fairing. Sometimes reads, sometimes doesn't in different places I've tried. I'm a low maintenance rider and prefer not to have a bunch of junk hanging on me or the bike. I have to go through six booths round trip to work, maybe each one has a different sensitivity. I've got my bike plate registered with it so hopefully, as one of you said, they'll recognize the plate. I wish we did move to stickers. The little white box is obtrusive.

Whats nice is most of the toll booths near me don't pick up the bike, so it doesn't trigger the reader. Free toll! Effing $10 to cross the George Washington Bridge. You would expect him to come back from the dead and carry me across the river.

Keep your eye on your mailbox . . . they'll find you and add an "administrative" fee.

my toll tag is in my junk drawer at the house. they link the license plate in the picture they take to my account.

takes a little extra for them to charge my account, but they always do :-)

so needless to say....no toll tag needed on me or my bike.
had it this way for over 3 years now....NEVER had a problem!

just as long as your license plate is
linked to your account.

(but that is here in Texas)

I would love to leave the ezpass at home or let them link it to my account from the plate picture. Unfortunately, here in NY, at least where I drive, they have arms that do not raise unless the toll is paid. Have to have the ezpass.

Froggy-

No offense but I wish I could have seen the death arm assault. I might have had to pull over to gain composure.

The Buell tankbag has the PERFECT place for the EZ Pass. There's a zippered pouch underneath the map pouch that I always put mine in. The bag is also angled forward perfectly as if it were designed for this thing. Works every time (even on those ANNOYING MBTA bridges and tunnels with the drop gate).
