i have a 99 x1 that i had the heads ported and polished and then i also have a custom two into one intake, D&D slip on pipe as well. will a race ecm be enough for these mods? if i am thinking about this rite it should because? i am just helped it flow better....rite the valves are still stock size and still have stock cams so the same amount or a lil more air is coming into the cylinder head but not enough that a race ecm should'nt be able to compensate. if i were to have bigger valves or a big bore kit installed i would understand the need for more fuel. what is ur opinion on the matter? any help is greatly aprecciated! |

Tim, only a dyno tune can tell you the exact requirements, head work, cams and other work all work in concert with each other to provide better air flow & hence more power you can try the race ecm it will likley run and checking the plugs will tell if there are issues, the intake intregues me pix please? |

Back at you. It should work. Since you are/were an S&S guy check out the S&S intake on my X1. Yes my knee does hit it, but not all the time. (I'm only 5'9) I wish I could do something like what you did. Sweet! |
