I was a bit shocked by the amount of crud that had collected between the inner airbox and air filter when I checked it the other day. So I am considering fitting some sort of mesh grill over the air intake to try to stop some of this stuff getting in. Good idea, bad idea ? My main concern is if it will restrict air flow enough to become a problem to the fueling. |

It will restrict flow and make less power. Better to check/clean the air filter more often. Simple as that. |

Yeah, I noticed the same thing when I removed my airbox. It's not actually in the filter, it's just in the airbox. Bits of leaf, dust, and sand, for the most part. I wondered about some screen for the snorkel, but others told me it was no big deal. |

The airbox looks like it was designed to do this. Like a good canister vac. Places for big stuff to settle means less stuff flying around to filter out. Clean your airbox more often. Z |
