Here are some horrible cell phone pictures to keep everybody happy for now : p. After I get a chance to give it a good wash (hopefully Monday) I will try and get some real pics...

Things to notice, 8 piston ZTL2 caliper from the 1125R looks sweet and has EXCELLENT feel.

Anyways... this pic shows a good bit of the bike...

From this pic, passenger pegs, fender and lollipop mirrors clearly need to go!

Hey congrats on the bike. Ive been following your decision making carefully, with all the posts etc. You reminded me of me when I was about to purchase one. Lots of questions, lots of test rides. I got my Drummer installed today, now its a new bike all over again.

Yeah I have been doing my homework...

My dad says I have a tendancy to buy things and sell quickly to replace them with something new, I have done that in the past and can see how the R6 would portray that tendancy but the R6 was a spure of the moment purchase.

This bike was given thought, research, is clearly a more street oriented bike and is brand spanking new so I feel a strong connection to it... Thus I dont see any problems holding onto this bike for MANY years and really racking up the miles : )

Anyways, off to work for an 8 hour shift :/.

Hopefully Ill get some riding in afterwards!

If you ever go down on the bike, you will find that the passenger pegs do an excellent job of taking the damage, and they are easy and cheap to replace. Much cheaper than your swing arm! It may look better, but the protections is worth it. The mirrors have to go! When I took mine off, I noticed that my sight lines were greatly improved along with looking much cooler! Good luck with the new machine ; )

Hmmmm....

Even with good axle sliders?

I just really want that cleaned up look and I have no need to take a passenger...

After getting that link for $50 bar end mirrors, that will probably be one of the first things I do! Then the fender hack off, which is pricery as I want those LED integrated lights. CRG or similar shorty levers will probably wait a while...

Time to go to work! On the bike I have decided : )

I have the same bike as you Jraice, get the pass pegs off. Bar ends (only need one in Florida!) and taking the belt guard off makes it look good.

Now I need to get that grader off : D

And yeah belt guard removal does look nice but I am thinking I would hate to have belt damage...

Pass pegs are coming off, bar ends on (probably will do both sides) and grater off for sure as well...

I am thinking grips, bar snake and mirrors along with sliders will be my first phase of mods. Not to expensive, partially cosmetic and partially protection.

By the way did a bit more riding today, up to about 80 miles.

Loving this thing! Now that its dry and tires are more worn in I can say this thing flicks side to side like the R6 couldnt even dream about... Need to ride some twisties soon to get used to how responsive this bike is... Brake is amazing, dives a bit but firms up quickly and just feels great.

One thing that alarmed me a bit, in the parking lot in 1st gear (2nd as well but mostly 1st) it seems like it pulls me... Clutch out, no gas pulls, not just when stopped (obviously it will do that) but at 5mph even...

Maybe this is just how twins are (R6 would slow down without throttle, even with clutch all the way out, at parking lot speeds) but it made u-turns etc... more difficult, as I am not used to that sensation.

Also seems like the rear brake is perfect for parking lot manuevers but not even worth using for anything else, its very weak and super wooden feeling...

All in all, I love this bike and cant wait to do a long ride on it! Maybe sunday : )

Oh and I babied it home yesterday, today I road it lightly but not thinking to much. Just riding normally, giving it some gas here and there and under 4,000rpm.
