I saw the Eagles at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis last night. WOW those guys are good. It was worth every penny. Joe Walsh was hilarious. Right before he sang "Lifes been good" he apologized to anyone under the age of thirty who heard it growing up and are now messed up because of it. Glen Frey was funny too. He had a bunch of jokes, but his opener was the best: "Hello Indianapolis and welcome to the Eagles "Assisted Living" Tour!" Timothy Schmit had a couple good ones too, but the one I liked the most was "Thanks for coming out on a school night!" Don Henly didn't talk much but he sure hasn't lost any of his singing talent. They were backed up by several keyboards, strings, guitars, horns and percussion. If you get a chance to go see them, jump on it. That was probably the best concert I have ever been to. |

The Eagels are my all time favorite band. I think I have every song they've ever put out on a variety of CDs. |

Went to one of the first reunion concerts in '98. They only disappointed the crowd by playing the original version of 'Hotel California'. Everybody in the stadium screamed for them to play the new version, but they needed a nap I guess, they didn't do it. It was from the "Hell Freezes Over" tour when Frey said "We never broke up.....we just took a fourteen year vacation". Funny thing was all of the grey haired concert goer's. Many stood in line for days to get tickets. I called for any cancellations and within three days of the concert had the wife and I eight rows back from center stage. Awesome! |

Indy- I saw them in Charleston, SC earlier this year. I think I heard all the same jokes. They have held up amazingly well; very impressive that they can all still sing harmony so well. Court- I remember they were booked to play at Clemson University when I was there, probably 1975. Tickets were going for the outrageously expensive price of ~$14 each. Most top name artists got ~$7 each for tickets at the time. At any rate, they canceled. |

I saw the show this last fall in KC. Yes, worth every penny and their harmony is incredible. After all they are The Eagles. Hmm...1974...I missed that one...I was 10. (Message edited by gowindward on March 23, 2009) |
