Call Jeff at Motor Cycle Works about the Odsey battery. He told me that the early one's about 3 or 4 yrs. ago were great. He said all the new ones they have sold have been returned for warranty. It was so bad Drag Spclty. quit selling them. So some thing has change for the worse. |

Dwayne...Get thee forthwith to the all seeing, all knowing Frank...Especially if it's still under warranty... Richie...Your ride really looks good...Looks like your hard work really paid off...Have you left the engine pretty much alone?... I hope you guys have been following the Colorado thread on the Quick Board...We've been getting a lot of good ideas...John and I are leaning to trailering (GASP!) out and back...We've got a line on a place to leave the trailers in Ft Collins and are working on it...That would be pretty cool as CO 14 west of Ft Collins is an incredible ride along the Cache La Poudre river...Shirl and I used to fish up there...I think Sam has ridden 14 so he can tell you about it...Other than the normal great roads being suggested I had another idea which is to ride all of the paved passes that cross the Continental Divide and we're researching that idea now... Sam...Did you have any altitude sickness in CO?... See Ya! Bob |

UUMMMMM WOW! "John and I are leaning to trailering out and back" Hearing that statement out of most people would not be as nerve racking as hearing that statement come from Bob's mouth! When any other person makes a statement like that, your first impression is; "Good idea, why flatten the centers of our tires traveling across the great plains both directions." When hearing that same statement come out of Bob's mouth, your first impresssion is; "how many thousands of miles is he planning???" Just kidding Bob! I have been following the thread. Seems there are quite a few roads that are just west of the Ft. Collins/Denver area that have been mentioned. I used mapquest on 14 and it looks awesome! There is one area mentioned in the byways website that I think we need to check out. It may be tough to convince John of this area. Estes "PARK". From what I have seen, 3 of the roads that have been mentioned, come out of that area in some form. What ever you, John, and Sam come up with, I am sure it will be awesome! Keith |

Bob, the only sickness I had in colorado was at the border crossing back into Kansas. |

Keith...Not to worry...John is resigned to the fact that to get either to or from the Peak to Peak highway, which everyone says is a "must ride" he will have to go through the P A R K...So once there we might as well go west over Trail Ridge Road...Yea, I know, Winnies going uphill with their brakes on but it's the only way in or out to the good stuff... Hey, Kansas is not too bad......In a 767... See Ya! Bob |

Bob,we took the top end of the motor off to re-ring it.We found a pair of oil control rings that the gaps were lined up above each other, that may have accounted for some oil usage. We found some other stuff inside, that we fixed,so everything should be ok. |

Of course you know I'm kinda partial to orange but if you get it running half as good as it looks it will be great...I hope you've found the oil problem...John's engine is so tight now he's complaining about rust!!!... Bob |
