Sounds great AZ_m2, the more the merrier! We'll set up meeting spots as the date gets closer. Perhaps us Tucson guys can meet near Oracle and River roads somewhere, and we can hook up with the Phoenix guys in Superior at the Bar/cafe that's on the west side of town just as your entering it from Phoenix. You Phoenix guys probably know the name of the place I'm thinking of? It's a popular place for the Harley crowd on Sunday afternoons. |

Thanks Bartimus. The only place I'm familiar with is an italian restaurant on the left just as you're entering town from Phoenix. Wherever we decide to meet, shouldn't be too hard to find each other. I may invite a couple of non-buellers to tag along. We're also planning a ride this Sunday or Monday. I'll post here for anyone that's interested. We were throwing around the idea of a Superior / Winkelman / Globe / Superior loop. But it's still up in the air. Chris |

Bart, re: twitchiness, back the rear spring wayyy off and see if that helps. also check to make sure the steering head bearings are not a little bit loose. |

FERRIS, Thanks for posting the info here for me. I just got out of the hospital and it's raining so I"m not in the mood to ride to check out the changes. I did back off the preload, (while doing so discovered a nice long rusty scrape along the chrome cover of the shock that had been facing the exhaust) and checked the steering head, seemed fine. I re-adjusted the compression and rebound to the factory settings and will hopefully check them out tomorrow weather permitting. AZ_M2, The bar I'm thinking of is on the right hand side just as you enter town. all riders are welcome. Keep me posted as to this weekends activities, I may ride up and meet you guys in Superior as well. |

If my package arrives this week I will probably go to San Diego this weekend. Otherwise it will be next weekend. I just need to be here for the package or I would go now. |

My timing sucks this week! Rode Sunday in the rain. The bike stays home Monday...of course on a 70+ sunny day. Ride to work Tuesday..not too cold. Ride again yesterday. Of course it RAINS! That makes for a miserable ride after a miserable day at work! Today..no bike...mid to upper 60's and SUNNY! Bart, are you sure you want me to ride with you next weekend? I'm bound to bring bad weather! Any how, I talked with Paul and he's in so let's work out the details and head north! |

Brian, that's why they call us bad weather bikers, LOL! the ride will be a good one regardless. I was thinking of running up this weekend and doing the loop with the Phoenix guys, but I'm buying another S2. I'm leaving for Georgia tonight, should be back by Tuesday night. Have a good weekend and pray to the sun gods.

Bart, you must have closed on the red one I saw on ebay today. I was looking at that one and a grey one in Sacramento. Emailed the guy, but didn't hear back. Enjoy the ride home. Weekend ride. A couple of folks are interested. Will be a mixed bag of cruisers and standards. Will probably do the loop ride on Monday. I'll post here when I have the details. |

Az_m2, Yes, I did, I wasn't sure if the insurance co. would square me away before the bidding got too high. I figured $4000 was a decent price for a stocker with 5000 miles on it. My S2 had 148,000 miles, and would take about $3000 to get it road worthy again. I do have a Nallin kit waiting, Murrae (SantaFe HD/Buell) wanted to drop it into the S1 but with the thunderstorms the S1 is fine for me. I'll be dropping this S2 off there, and picking it back up in about two weeks. I saw the grey one also, didn't it have an S&S carb on it? it had 16,000 on the clock also, and the recalls had not been done, look at the rear shock. I'm not to keen on the snap red color of the one I picked up, but fresh paint can cure that. Have fun this weekend, I'm still planning on coming up the 24th with some Tucson guys. Hope the weather holds out for y'all. I think Brian is starting to think he's a crappy weather magnet, LOL. edited by bartimus on January 15, 2004 |

Bart----dude you got it bad! I can't believe you're pickin' up another bike after you just got that sweet S1 last week! Have fun picking up you new-new toy and I'll chat with ya when I get back from SD and when you get back from GA. Looking forward to PHX and meeting y'all. Wycked-are you gonna make it or are you taking off to SD? |

Just to throw my .02 in - I'll try to make these rides (this time), though it depends on finances and whether I still have the S3T. Anybody want to buy my S3T - before I give it back to the bank?? |

Brian, Yepp, I got to keep an S2 under me no matter what. You'll see, you too, may be bitten by the Buell bug. I'm leaving in about 30 minutes. Wycked, I am still planning on the 24th, I hope all can still make it. 02buells3t, OMG! your gonna let the bank take your bike back? waaaaaa! (hmmm, thinkin', can I squeeze another Buell into my stable? hmmm, an S1, S2, AND S3?) I must really be nuts! Shoot me an email, with whatcha need to keep the bank off ya, I won't be able to read it until I get back on Tuesday though. I hope you can still make any of the rides going on in the meantime. Shoot, I hate to see anyone lose their ride. So, you guys have fun this weekend, hopefully I'll see you the following weekend, until then, as Ferris says, "ride to Lean " I'm off to buy another Buell! |

Bart, when you get back to reality (geez, you're becoming quite the Buell whore ), back the rear spring ALL the way off and see what happens (you can always return the spring to it's prior setting if you don't like the results). i think you may be presently surprised. and just for grins, give the steering heads bearings just a wee bit more preload. let us know if any of this helps. ride to leannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, FB |

Damn, I can't make the 24th as I'll be playing paintball with a hundred or so other people... They won't miss me, but the other two in my team of three sure would... I just ran from Prescott to Wickenburg today... Friggin' WOW Erik and Co. Thanks for the XB. |

Wycked- I was on my way Friday when you asked. I actually had some business in Yuma Friday morning and visited friends through the weekend. Once Bart get's back we'll co-ordinate down here for Saturday's trip up there. |
