Well it seems that my clutch is slipping a little bit on my 2005 Xb12scg. I can only feel it when if i somewhat drop the clutch a little bit from a roll. Prior to the winter I adjusted the clutch accordingly to the manual. I then proceeded to adjust the clutch cable. I know the clutch adjustment doesnt need to be readjusted because I just did that, and I havnt put but 500 miles on it since i did that. So I am back to the cable. Should I tighten of loosen the cable to help reduce the slipping? Kind of a stupid question but help would be appreciated. |

You only need a bit of free play in the cable. If you have some free play, more wont help the slipping. If you don't have any free play then that may be your problem. It's pretty easy to double check the clutch ramp adjustment, and if your cable has free play then that's almost certainly the culprit. |

My cable does have some free play. I guess I will tighten it and go from there. I adjusted the clutch ramp to spec so it has to be the cable. Thanks Sifo |
