Folks I am almost there. After some months of zeroing in on a good state of tune I may have finally got my M2 running right. I have one remaining issue. There is a rough spot around 3300rpm. Minor tweaking of the timing and jetting seemed to have no effect, and it appears to be purely rpm related, since it is there in all gears. She runs super smooth at 3000 and 3800. The front engine mount if less than a year old, and the other mounts seem OK. Intake and exhaust seals are new. I do have a small crack in the stock airbox where it screws onto the front engine bracket, and it looks like the box is shaking like a leaf at the rpms in question. I don't know if that could be a cause or effect. It pulls hard through the rpm range, just noisy and vibey. Did I miss something? |

Since it seems to be strictly RPM related, is the primary chain properly adjusted? Sounds weird, I know, but it does affect vibration levels. Usually in the lower RPM's, though. |

I recently re-built the transmission, so it is a distinct possibility. I did adjust it a little with no effect, but I will give it another look. Thanks Akbuell |
