Like the topic says. I'm looking for a good deal on tires. Anyone see anything thats really good. I found a set of Pirelli Diablo's for 265 shipped. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger but not sure just yet. My Wifes 9 needs tires. Going to pull the original 207's off. Long over due. |

I just picked up a pair of Rhinotire lined Diablo Stradas for about $440. Looking for a specific tire? |

Deals come and go. Only deals I have seen, I wouldn't call them deals, because I will not put Dunflop D616s on my bike even at $120 a pair. |

$175 a set! Courtesy of Kevin Schwantz. It's not always, what you know, but who you know! If it weren't for this deal, March Badness wouldn't be near as fun. |

I think we need a "slickdeals" section under the classifieds group. That way anytime comes up a short term good deal (IE: tires) they can post it in there. |

How about telling me where. Sorry Dana, I was kinda kidding. I have an inside contact with Kevin's school here at Road Atlanta. If I could I would pass on the deal. I've not been able to find much under $300 (mounted and balanced), seems to be the going rate. Even the internet deals are about $300 after shipping, then you have to mount them. Unless of course you do that yourself. |

Deals depend on what tires you're looking to find. Probably the best deals you're going to find will be by bringing your wheels to a racetrack and having them changed there to speed-rated DOT's. Mounted and balanced AND purchased for about what you can get them shipped to you for... and the rubber is as FRESH as you can possibly get. I haven't yet known a tire vendor to ask for racer name or number - you just pay cash or plastic and be on your way. |

Thanks Glitch and Steve. Kinda need them before Spring. Track day's don't exist in these parts for awhile. The Diablo's I found for 255 shipped. I dismount myself. I get my tires mounted on the rim's for 55 buck. I put them back on the bike. So I think I found a good deal wouldn't you agree. |

I buy my tires from Motorcycle superstore, but make sure they send you fresh tires and ask for a DOT date no later than 2008. you guys know about the DOT dates on tires. Its displayed on the tire as, an example, DOT 0907 this means the tire was made in the 9th week of 2007 the first 2 numbers are the week and the second 2 numbers are the year. K |

"So I think I found a good deal wouldn't you agree." I think that the answer to that depends on which Strada model you sourced, but sounds fair enough to me. Has anyone here ever run the Pirelli Diablo Strada Extended Mileage? Are they decent? I wouldn't mind a higher mileage, decent performing tire... |

They weren't Strada's. But none the less I found a set of Michelin Pilot's. I picked them up for 265 shipped. 10 bucks more then the Pirelli's but I have them on Last Laugh and really like them alot. The tires should be on there way. (Message edited by bads1 on March 06, 2009) |

We just got two pair of tires for $475. They're the Continental ForceMax. Rated for both street & track. This is our second pair of Conti's and my hubby got just over 6K miles on his. He's out in the garage now changing them. Fronts were $100 and rear $137. No tax or shipping charges. They are great tires, even in the rain. Was able to maintain 60mph while raining and no feeling of lost traction. |
