in my experience, you will be able to tell a difference between the spray can paint Buell makes for the '08 and the factory powder coat. The spray can seems a little darker. It is hard to tell from a distance, especially with as many angles as this bike has.... the shadows help to decrease the visible difference, but it won't be the exact color match. |

The dealer put a scratch in my swingarm on the second warranty repair. The bike had about 200 miles on it at that time and they gave me a brush touch up can and it is a terrible match. Looked much darker than the blue. It is the factory paint, they had to order it in. Hope you have better luck than me. |

Problem with touching up paint is always getting a match - not withstanding shade differences in paint batches, wind, sun, rain etc will have an effect on your original paintwork. |

the '08 blue spray can paint I got from buell has a BUELL label that reads: M0310.1AMYCR Diamond Blue Frame & Wheel Paint Under the can, there's some print that reads: 10/13/08 EFA V0C-88% MIR-1.50 DOT 2Q M5702 Does that help you at all? There isn't much there that identifies the paint... |

Well finally got the touch up paint and it covered nice. It is a little darker than the powder coat. I'm happy with it ,the kit came with 2 touch up bottles. I will post pics. Scott |

Anyone have any advice on how to best feather in the edges when touching up the powdercoat? I tried polishing out some light scuffs and it shined up my matte finish. Any suggestions for clearing up light scratches? |
