It looks as though I'll have maybe ~$1500 to spend in the month of March... I'm torn between getting some body work done to my Mustang or putting some money into the 12R. I'm mostly leaning towards the car (bodywork, two rims, four tires and a grille). I already replaced the entire front suspension on the Mach1 and would kind of like to have it on the road again. However... I was thinking a race filter, NRHS sig. series exhaust and a new set of Metzler Sportecs... I would probably follow that up with a set of stage 2 heads later on in the year... The other thought was a Drummer, filter and stage 2 heads now... That would be a bit more, but I could save some from now until then and maybe keep saving and wait on it... I'd kind of like to see the old Mach 1 back on the road though... Hmmmmm.... What to do, What to do... |

The force pipe you already know there problems of cracking and even if they fix the problem no warranty for what almost $1400.00 dollars. The no warranty thing is what I have heard anyway.I would have to say put the money into the car,its a classic and cars like that aren't everywhere anylonger.Your 12 can wait can the car???? |

Well, the car is in what I like to call "VERY" good shape. A show car easily with a few coats of wax and if you don't look in the engine compartment. No rust, just not really clean is all, it was my daily driver for four years. The body and frame are very straight, original paint/interior etc... I'm not in any hurry at all to put more miles on it, but a Sunday drive every now and then would be nice. Also, after the body work and an engine rebuild I could sell it for >18K. I paid 6K for it. I don't think I've ever been to Wal-Mart/Target/Home depot etc. in it and not had an offer or two sitting under the wiper when I got back outside. I don't have any intention of getting rid of it any time soon, so I suppose it "could" wait... The 12R still has the warranty which would almost certainly be adversely affected by stage 2 heads... I suppose too though, If I go with stage two heads I may as well go to 1348cc's and go with larger valves and a set of cams and that's a ways beyond my budget ATM. The car is looking better and better. |

M1 at least put the metzelers on. that should be a tremendous improvement. and you cant go wrong with a k&n filter. spend the rest on the 'stang and then let us all know how you like the sportecs. |

Yeah, that's kinda what I'm thinking... I should be able to do the Mustang for about $1200 including paint on the fender that needs the body work. I just need to find that little beauty molding that completes the front fender. I'll bet If I look around under the bridge on which I hit the guardrail I'd find my old one... I need two original rims or four aftermarket rims as well. I'll probably go with the aftermarket rims as I can get four nice ones cheaper by a good margin than two originals and I wouldn't have to worry about the trim rings and center caps (which are $600 alone...). I could get those over the years at swap meets maybe. Well, anyway, this doesn't seem to be about XB's anymore so... |

About $650 for a Drummer and the Race ECM. $$ left over for the Tang. Best bang for the buck! |
