Anyone know how hard or whats involved with swapping the wiring harness? I want to switch the one on my SS to a Uly one. The cable lengths are quite different and I figure it might be easier to swap the whole thing than worry about splicing and making adapters for things.

How much does the harness cost.It would be easier to switch the harness and look better.

Y0136.1AKA WIRE HRNS W/FUSE & LABELS Retail Price:$331.00

Thats assuming I picked the right one! There are a few harnesses. My under seat looks like this now:

I got no lights in the rear either as the cables wont reach. I am using hyperlights as temporary brake lights.

Froggy, The harness swap on Bolts is pretty easy and I gather the SS is damn similar. I have an extra one or two for my bolts that I have picked up on Ebay. Dirt cheap to if you watch 'till one comes along with a low starting price. I know that I never paid more than fifty bucks for one, delivered, they often come with the fuses and relays as well. I got one from a 2007 9R with the ECM, guages, and magnesium dash with 12 miles on it for fifty bucks from a Harley dude who bought the bike to wreck it with all sorts of chopper stuff...Yuck. If all you need to get your bike running safe is some temporary tailight and brakelight wiring I can hook you up with some soldered wrapped connections that will outlast the rest of the bike. let me know, you can't be too far from Newark I'll spin up and knock it right out for ya. How can you be so slick with the tech **** and have this holding you back ?

Yea I got the stock Uly light on it. I got to photograph everything, the XBs have a totally different connector.

Hell I want to take a ride out to you, my bike needs a ton of electrical work. I got the soldering and wiring skills of a 5 year old amish kid. I will be going down the road, and my GPS randomly turns off! Hell once my bike turned the headlights on without the key in it.

Yea Skinstains, I got a set of Hyperlights for brake lights and my helmet has built in LEDs so thats my running lites. For signals I have been pretending I am a Mercedes and just picking what lane I want : D

Depending on what was involved I was going to PM Dr Greg and see if I can loot his off the wrecked bike. Hell I wished he wrecked a month earlier (or not at all), that way I could of gotten all the tail stuff off him.

Just about everything I know in life I learned on my own, and I never got one of those "Build a Nuclear Fusion Reactor" kits for xmas like my friends.

We're gonna take good care of Froggy this coming weekend. We'll make sure he has all his lights working before we let him leave.
