I can't help it, the economy isn't hurting me like it is some other badwebbers, and I want to help someone out before its too late. I know absolutely nothing about the tubers, but I guess I need a garage queen to compliment the daily wheelie machine |

I would never talk anyone out of an x1, My hand hurts from ripping some punks on jap bikes not 20 minutes ago (I don't have the Muller clutch in the bike yet, just in a drawer). With the race mods this model seriously DOMINATES all in the city! I also got a good race in on the way home from work against my brothers srt-10 viper truck!! I spanked him, He said usually i can reel you in but, whatever you have done to the bike lately it's really faster now. Just an open end cap for the s.trap and all the race mods I have had so many jap bike's but until i got this bike i have really never had fun like this before, Truly a fun and super fine piece of machinery...I want another one, I got mine for 4k and very neglected, It took me 1yr to get it where it is now. I love this bike the xb12r is sweet also, I got my eye on one of those also! |

here is one major reason i would tell you to buy buy buy! jts performance is rumored to be able to make you custom maps for future motor upgrades using the stock injection system! |

Froggy: Lets see if I can help Plusses, Simple easy to work on, even though they are the most numerous tube frame Buell they are far from common, They will happily wheelie they have a plate in the frame that makes belt changes a snap. parts are still around, and AL can get em and has the kewl trick stuff for e'm you can get multiple sets of body work and have a "wardrobe" of covers. minuses you will work on it - or push it the front iso can take out the head mounts wheel bearing issues shocks are EXPENSIVE! depending on year exhaust hangers can be an issue. oil pump drive gear and grenade plate must be removed. Oh wait they are easy to work on, so its no big deal. so get one ... Oh Im sorry you wanted me to talk you out of one.... |

There is a super nice red S1 with real low mileage in the classified section here. I would love to have it but like most folks I am on a short leash when it comes to "new" toys, at least for now... |

Just the normal stuff plus any preventative stuff like the oil pump drive gear, updated primary shoe tensioner and see if they've got any go-fast goodies on it. My rod bearings chewed up at 23k but I think this is very rare. Yay, lucky me |

Why the frown? Nice looking clean scoot. Tank cover shows it to be a '99 with the '01 updated shift linkage. Also noticed what looks like the race exhaust. Once you get to know her after a few miles it won't be love it will become an obsession whether riding it or wrenching on it. Welcome to "Old School." |

Because I can only bring home one, hell I don't even know if I can do one, which ever one I get is going to be a surprise. "Is that another bike in the garage?", no you must be mistaken, they all look the same to you! Yes its a 99, race pipe and has the updated shifter. Is it hard to swap it to GP style shifting? I just had to flip the shifter thing on the XB. |
