Looking for a Buell to buy in Minnesota. Will consider just about any make/model, as long as it has two cylinders. Preference for early model XB9R, if any exist at this price range. Higher miles are not a concern for me. Either are cosmetic issues. Also interested in S3/S3T, and XBs, and... well, just about anything you've got. Hit me up and let me know what you have! Cash in-hand, ready to buy ASAP. Will also consider non-Buells, as long as it's interesting! Thanks! |

Sweet deal, but I can't bring myself to buy a bike unseen. |

Here's what you do. Once you get pics of that bike, if you like it, tell him to hold it for you for three weeks, purchase a plane ticket to his town for three weeks later (to save on ticket cost; also get it for a weekday for the same reason). Then pack a backpack with two sets of clothes, fly there, have him pick you up from the airport. Then he'll invite you to stay overnight in his home so you can take off early in the morning to start your ride home on your new bike! Oh wait, that's what I did . I flew from Amarillo to Detroit for $177, and rode my bike home for just under $200 in gas. I stayed at peoples' homes instead of motels, so the whole trip (3200 miles both ways) cost me under $400. |

Here are pics. I'm gonna make a youtube of it before it goes to Ebay. I also have Continental airline connections, so you could fly to EWR for $125 each way (i know, not a great deal, but cheaper than booking and can leave anytime). I just won an auction for new red plastics on Ebay, so cosmetic issues may be a thing of the past. However the price goes up by 950 then... (Message edited by clarkjw on August 25, 2008) |

That's a sweet bike. If I had an extra 3K, I'd pick it up. And $125 each way? You only need one way! (Message edited by phelan on August 25, 2008) |

Definitely a sweet bike. Nice price, too. But from NY to MN on a XB9R? I'm too old for those shenanigans. |

Bumpy-Bump. Back in the market as things are starting to warm up. Still have a hard cap at $3,000. Since my original August post, I've fallen more in love with tubers. I like the S3T the most, but tell me what you've got. Also still considering non-Buell "sport-standards" -- FZ6/FZ1, ZR7(S), ZRX, Bandit, Monster, etc. Might also be interested in traditional roadsters -- '04+ Sporty, Triumph Bonnie variants, Guzzis. Shoot me a PM with what you have. Thanks! |
