ok, 97 M2, I know that it does not have the stock carb on it, but does have a newer model cv which I would assume is stock. Anyway, I've always had a little "cough/hiccup". Put a Vance & Hines on, no carb issues. Just put a stage 1 screamin eagle on. Took it out yesterday, seemed to run good, but still cough occasionaly and no noticeable driveability issues. So the question is.... I know I need to jet the carb, but will I cause any engine damage without jetting the carb right away? I guess with the mods it should run lean and want to make sure I don't do any damage. I want to buy an extra cv and jet it or get a Mikuni. If I get a Mikuni, does it need to be jetted or is it bolt on and go and make minor adjutments? Thanks in advance....Mike |

The problem when it runs lean is it runs hotter. When I orderd my carb I told them what I needed for jets and when it came It bolted on and was pretty close. We are ganna put it on the dyno and run the sniffer to see how well it is tuned. |

Before you do too much jetting make sure that your intake seals are good. The HSR 42 comes jetted real close for a stock to mild 1203. Joe |

yep, replaced the seals about 4 months ago. Are all the HSR 42's the same or do I need to get a 42-11? |
