Both the Buell and Aprillia don't have Desmodromic valve actuation like the Ducati. Ducati's have always been up-classed because of this in most all sanctioning bodies, at least here in the states. |

Without having any knowledge about the AMA sportbike rules, but just looking at the results I think it is clear that the success is 100% based on the riders talent. So Danny Eslick should get all the credit. All the other Buells or the 1000cc V-2 Aprilias are not competitive. So it is fair to run the 1125 in the class. It took a great rider to put it on top. |
