Thank you all for the response to my 'retiring from riding' thread. I am grateful for the kind thoughts and good wishes. There are a lot of wonderful dimensions to our sport, and I am glad that we were able to touch on some of them. I beg forbearance from Blake for the purpose of this new thread - please allow me to explain: I have decided to use my bike in trade on my new car. I have never mentioned before (that I can remember) that I am a partner in a new car/truck dealership. We handle GM lines (Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Cadillac and Saab). I mention it now because the bike will be sold through them, not me. We will seek to wholesale the bike, through a motorcycle wholesaler. This will probably happen quickly, and at a much lower price than I had posted in the Classified section. The bike will go to the wholesaler without many of the options that are listed in my ad, except for those that are necessary for the function of the bike (such as the Pazzo's - sorry). However, if anybody here wants the bike, all of the stuff in my classified will be included. The trade-in allowance on my bike was $6000. Anything north of that figure will buy it. The bike goes to my store this afternoon. Again, I apologize for bringing this subject to the 1125R forum directly, but time is short. I will make the correction to the ad in the classifieds also - and post my cell phone here (850-982-7024) and there. I hope the bike winds up with somebody here. Thanks! Jack | ||

It was going to be me, but I called Jack this morning and told him my wallet wouldn't allow it. Need to do some overdue house projects before I come home with another bike. Hated to pass on it. I think Buellsrule bought it. (Message edited by dentguy on March 05, 2009) |
