I just ordered the Buell Race Belly Pan (part# L0500.08AZ) from my Harley dealer and it will be here next week. Those of you that have installed the BMC Belly Pan can you please provide some feedback and tell/show me how you mounted it to your bike. I need to know what is required to mount it and where you purchased your screws/mounting plates. I also plan on making a cut out for the kick stand so I can use it on the street. Has anyone done this to their BMC Pan and will it interfere with any proposed mounting points? Just trying to gather all the right facts and materials for a quick and easy install next week. Also, they told me that it comes painted black but is it a flat black primer or is it already painted to match the 2008 1125r? Thanks in advance for your help on this subject. |

I'm in the process of doing it right now. Lot of cutting! Here is a mock up pic. { { |

I have one that's not installed because of the interference between the stock pipe and my tire warmers. Before I ride my bike again I hope to have a new exhaust that will allow me to gain a fraction of an inch at the rear of the belly pan so that the warmers go on and off easier. BTW I really think that the belly pan looks better with the Flexglass side panels from Grand Stand Designs. That's what I'm currently using and I really dig that look with the belly pan. |

It's supposed to be an oil pan! I spent $20 or so at Lowes for my mounting parts I think I posted picks last summer when I installed. Speaking of which I ought to order those dzus fasteners to use this year ... |

How much did you pay for your Buell belly pan? Henry Duga at Buell racing told me they cost $162 but when I went to go pay for it at my dealer they wanted to charge me $199. |

Contact Pete at Grand Stand Designs. He deals in Flexiglass. I think he can easily beat your price on a belly pan. |
