Hello all, i've had my bike now for about 2 1/2 weeks now and i'm near the seattle area where it rains alot here. I was wondering if my M2 can take the element of rain? Has anyone had any problems riding or parking they're bike and it got rained on. So far my bike has been a beast and withstanded cold temps and rain but being that it's a naked bike i'm concerned how long it will hold up with everything exposed. I have a motorcycle cover by the way but i was just wondering how you all deal with rainy weather on your bikes. |

I've had my M2 for only 1 1/2 weeks and I keep it outside, under a car port. I'd be OK with leaving it out in the rain with a cover. The gas cap looks poorly designed to keep out water to me. My bike has an aftermarket air filter that looks like it will get wet in the direct rain. Otherwise I feel it would be OK in the rain. |

Leaving my bike uncovered in the rain leads to my turn signals not working until the switch gear dries out. If you've got a forcewinder you'll want a rain sock for it and it will still struggle to breathe right. Dennis is right about the gas cap, pull it off when it's wet and you'll get water in your tank. Other than that my bike has always done pretty well in poor weather, certain tires will help or hinder you there as well... |

The only trouble I've noticed with rain and my 01 M2L is the screw heads next to the spark plugs rusted. I got caught in a thunderstorm and rode it out about 80 miles. The front one is the worst but all 4 of them have signs of rust, getting less farther back... |

I see, very informative. Kinda figured little things would happen like turn signals and bolts rusting. Other than that sounds like the M2 can handle a "Cyclone". Haha |
