Author Message   Edmbueller Posted on Monday, February 16, 2009 - 12:42 am:        I know that in some cases manufacturers will place an inline "restrictor" of sorts to inhibit fluid flow when dumping the clutch. Anyone know if Buell has done the same? I am curious because I just can't seem to clutch the front wheel up as easily as I could with my Firebolt. Power wheelies seven ways from Sunday, just having trouble clutching......ideas?   Zack3g Posted on Monday, February 16, 2009 - 01:08 am:        apples and oranges. the 1125R has a completely different system compared to the XB line. that being said, i've never felt the need to clutch this, or my XB, they both have enough power to pick the wheel up whenever i want...and sometimes when i don't.   Edmbueller Posted on Monday, February 16, 2009 - 02:20 am:        Zack - I think you misunderstood the question. Tire compound is too hard when it's cold. I am just getting ready for the season now lol....   Zack3g Posted on Monday, February 16, 2009 - 05:08 pm:        i didn't misunderstand anything. you're trying to compare the operation and feel of two completely different systems. the XB engines, at least the XB12 series make a little more torque, and the clutch operates very differently. Comparing one to the other makes no sense at all. with either bike you have enough torque to pull the front wheel off the ground even without the clutch. introducing the clutch should not be problematic at all. the reason you feel it is harder is because the 1125 wants higher revs than you are used to on the XB.   Edmbueller Posted on Monday, February 16, 2009 - 06:46 pm:        So does anyone know if there is a restrictor somewhere in the clutch system? I have ridden other bikes with a hydraulic clutch and there was more "feel" on the friction point than with my 1125. Zack - I am not comparing the two systems. I was only trying to show that I am not new to wheelies.
