I was poking around the buell website and noticed that the pro series filter is listed as washable but it's not pink like K&N filters. They are not K&N anymore? The original hop-up filter for my X1 was K&N. Could anyone tell me if it's worth getting? Should I hold out for a K&N? |

I have no experance w/ the buell filter but do w/ the HD which in mho is a piece of crap I don't know the mfg but in sure HD pays a few pennys less and sell for the same $s. MY truck and all my street bikes run K&Ns |

According to American Sportbike website, Buell switched away from K&N a while back, to a no-oil filter (maybe similar to stocker?). I was able to wash/clean my stock paper filter once (carefully), but trashed it the next time it was dirty (too much crankcase oil in it). American Sport Bike still sell the K&N filter that Buell used to use. I almost ordered it with my other parts yesterday, but decided to save the money for now. |

I guess I will just get the K&N then. I have had great luck with my X1's filter so I am biased towards that a bit. |
