Not sure if this is an issue but I will be getting the chain drive swingarm. When changing ratios won't that cause the stock speedo to read wrong? I'm considering getting the Starlane ATHON GPS "Type R" Lap Timer w/ Track Mapping for my 1125 track bike and then removing the stock instrument. I've talked to a pro racer that uses this and read a lot of posts about it. The price is steep, $765 from Hard Racing. But I'm thinking about all the benefits and the Starlane would fix any speedo error problems. |

Yeah, changing the sprockets and alter your speedo reading. Either more correct or off more, just depending upon what you're using and what it is stock. The Starlane is a good system. I haven't used mine without the stock tach. For a Speedo though? Why do you need it? And I don't know if the speed reading is very big. I'm just looking for a lap time, and I use the shift lighting as a little aid also. |

Good point, don't need a speedo. I can see I need to get one and start using it. It would be nice to eliminate the stock gauges but not if the stock tach is still used. |

Hey Doug, If you are seriously interested in an electronic tach/speedo/lap timer from Starlane or Xenon, give me a call. I don't keep them in stock, but can get either for you quickly and for less than the price you posted above. Pete |
