Ray, nice picture dude! Are you trying to give us the cold shoulder, ha ha. I was hoping to meet you at the IMS this year, but my son’s football team (Tigard High School) was busy winning the Oregon 4A state championship that day, proud daddy moment that couldn’t be missed. Kimberlie, hope your surviving the blizzard. You and Mike are in the Troutdale area aren’t you? All the weather reports I see says you got it bad out there. Any good pics of Cody in the snow? Sounds like a great chance for Mike to show him how to slide the rear in the corners. So where is Buellnuts? Doesn’t that sorry ass post anymore. Sure rattle the cage then run away. Are your home improvements holding up against the weather? At least Ray was kind enough to post a brit bike in the snow.

Shotgun - let me know what I can do to help quilt the squares, I hate to admit it, for fear of sounding to girly, but I have made about 5 quilts myself. I could work on it in the evening when the kids are in bed. Pushing a needle through fabric and right into the hand below, bloody stumps are so appealing, will make me look like a bad ass. If anyone give's me shit I can take off my gloves and say, "you see these bloody stumps, don't make me beat you like I did the last person who pissed me off", they'll never know the truth. Just let me know. Spudman - no pictures of Code Red in the snow, however on the other hand his dad, (this will come as such a huge surprise I am sure) did pull out Cody's KLX-110 before the ice arrived and made a few rather nice circle thingies in the snow in the middle of our street! Well we have a lot of ice out this way. Mike put the chains on the truck and we ventured out in search of a Taco Bell. I eat there once a day, it is my addiction. Shit I have gone 3 days now without it, he was so nice and drove me to 3 different locations, all of them were closed. Even little Cameron (2) is asking for a burrito, does mother nature have no mercy! Getting cabin fever pretty bad, not to mention kiditus - I think like Bob I soon will be a certified, known and registered kid hater! My kids are making me crazy, they are going crazy! Sweet little guys just want to go out, but the wind is so bad, you can't stay out for long. I will post some pics once I get them back. Uncle Bobby and Deb- miss you guys, we have'nt seen you for at least 12 years! Dreaming of Splash and better days to come in the ice age, Kimberlie |

Bob, I got laid off 12/13/02, two weeks before Christmas, bastards. I’ve been out for over a year now. I am proud to be a gEEk (BSEE from Montana State University, go Bobcats!). My forte is digital hardware design, proudest design being a dual processor system currently used by commercial aircraft for heads up display guidance system. My last job was R&D Engineering Manager with a development team of 6 engineers working for me. Things have picked up in the tech sector here in Portland, but I’m also starting to look in Seattle. Don’t want to move though, youngest son is a junior in high school. Don’t want to make him have to do senior year at a new school without his old friends. But that’s enough crap about me. The Buell blew out its final drive on the way home from Splash last year. It’s currently in pieces waiting for me to order up some parts. The final drive bearing and seal were trashed but everything else looks good. Primary drive side currently looks like this, I’ve tore apart a lot of bikes before, primarily those from the rising sun, but was truly surprised by the size of the transmission. That baby is big and very heavy duty. Now I know why they make that big clunk when you put them in gear. Tranny and primary drive below, Wish I could turn up the heat for everyone. If it snows here in Portland its usually gone by noon. This time everything is covered in ice and slicker than a new tire, and it WON”T HEAT UP! I’m gonna get to bed and make some sparks with the misses. Probably won’t help but I’ll feel better. Hey Ferris, you can tease us about the weather, but its not our fault. Those damn Canadians sent this stuff down to us, its all their fault. Enjoy it there in the sunbelt until you fall into the ocean, ha ha. Great to hear the Blurr is getting some priority. If your anything like me you’ll be kicking yourself after the first ride for taking so long to get it back together. Kimberlie, your Mike man deserves a big reach around for his efforts. I have some Taco Bell mild sauce in a drawer downstairs, it’s all yours but I don’t deliver. That wind from the gorge sucks. My place is at the end of the tewligger (sp?) curves just off I5. Those mountains shield us from most of the wind but we do have the freezing rain, and it just won’t go away. I think God made kids so cute so you don’t kill them during times like these, hang in there baby!

Spudman, I've alway's been fond of the way your bikes have looked. Unfortunately each ride we've been on, gremlins have got the better of ya. Due to your circumstances, let me know if us Canadian Buellers can help with parts. I've offered the same for Ferris and he still hasn't given me list. Where do I send Deeley's House of Buell shirts for Cody? Kimberly, please send me your address. stuartw@trevdeeley.com Can't wait for SPLASH, last year was the first one I've missed. My right wrist still has a throttle govener, I'll have the plate removed next winter. Staurt Wells, Deeley's House of Buell. |

Hey Stu- I sent you an e-mail but a public thank you is always in order. Thanks man- you Rock! Your baby is about 7 mos now right? Post a picture. Heck everyone out there post up some pictures of what you have been up to this non-riding season. I know Jim would love an excuse to post a picture of the little princess he has, she is adorable. What happened to Branden, the new guy.... did I scare him off by posting that we are all like family? I guess that is the nice thing about this family, we were all chosen, not born into it! |

I can vouch for Gootch's offer as he saved Deb and I when we needed parts to fix the wreck X-3. Deeley's had the parts when no one else did and Stuart went the extra 100 miles to fix us up. Thanks again Stuart!! In TheRain Forest, Bob |

Hey, did you notice how Blake cleaned up the Storm Fronts section? The Northwest section is pretty near the top of the page. Cool! Spudman sez: "I think God made kids so cute so you don’t kill them during times like these..." So true dude, so true! Now are these kids are CUTE or what! That's the only reason both still alive. Cute or not, Bethany almost didn't make it

Gootch, your much too kind. It's folks like you that attracted me to Buell and keep me a buelliever in the spirit of the pegasus. I picked up the parts from Tigard Destination today, only $30 in damage. Ed Jr even helped me at the parts counter, he sent most of his staff home because the store was a ghost town due to the ongoing ice conditions. Almost everything was in stock (final drive bearing, seal and gaskets same as sportster), but the updated detent plate had to be ordered. Hope to see you at Splash 04, I WILL finish this year! Ray, you are Nuckin Futs! You gotta remember those kids will be taking care of you in the older years, batter up. |

Kimberlie demanded, “Heck everyone out there post up some pictures of what you have been up to this non-riding season.” I wanted to go out back and play but it’s an iceberg out there, So I stayed dry, back room is still cold, and banged on the old buell a little. The main failure appears to be the final drive bearing, old and new parts below, Most of the bearings fell to the ground once the front final drive sprocket was removed. Had to use a 5-foot cheater bar to bust the big nut on the sprocket, by far the most difficult part. The inner race was stuck on the 5th gear main shaft while the outer race remained in the case. Used a 2 prong puller to get the inner race off, just had to tap out the outer race. I suspect the bearing failed a while back and worked its way towards the seal, old and new seal below, The old seal took a bit of abuse before giving up. I found that springy thing clinging to the lower belt guard when I pulled to the side of the road heading home from Splash 03. Figured it wasn’t a good thing for that to be on the outside of the engine. I’m taking a break to clean things up before getting it back together. Think I’ll go down to Taco Bell and have a grilled stuffed burrito. Hope you got your TB fix in Kimberlie. The weather here has thawed out for now. So I plan on sitting in the hot tub with a cold beer tonight before bed. So what the heck is everyone else doing in the non-riding season, post some pics.

Kim, You can get it free off line. I use and like Paint Shop Pro Ver 5.0 and would be willing to send you a copy if you want. E-mail me your home address and I'll make a copy and shoot it off to you on Monday. |
