Update: Not sure if this matters, but there will be Hooters girls and possibly a bike wash. This is the inaugural event, Steve's putting a lot into it it should be a lot of fun. We're already planning next year's Fest. If anyone's interested we're putting together a fall ride. The confidence course takes up the entire length of the side lot. We still need someone to lead a ride please contact me if you're interested. I'm leading a westbound route and I think Jose will be leading a South route. Thanks all. |

It was a fun day out at Old Glory! Thanks to all who help put the event together and to K and Jaycent for setting up a challenging course. Josà was tearing it up! Rasmonis put together super twisty back roads extravaganza out to Fredrick which was top off with a great meal at Brewers Alley and a caffeine injection at Starbucks for our ride home. |

Here are a few pics I took with the phone and camera. I couldn't scale the photos small enough to meet the Bad Web maximum size and make them worth up loading. Apparently we're still in the stone age. Here's a link to my Flickr upload. http://www.flickr.com/photos/planethiker/sets/7215 7620657732676/ |

Found a US based Rizoma dealer!!! http://www.pjsparts.com/index.html Owners are MSF Rider Coaches, PJ is retired USMC. Think I'll throw some business their way! Time to 'pimp out' my '03 XB9S! BTW, I got 'motivated' to pimp out my 9S when I saw the 'Green Machine' yesterday. Yeah, you know which one I'm talking about. =) |

What a great Buell day. Got to see and ride with old friends. Met some new Buell riders. Rode with some Gixxers and Kawis on a spirited ride led by Jose and Ramon. Spent some real time talking to Jaycent about the race bike. Paul and I got to hear it run over by the car wash girls. Surprisingly (mostly) stock engine, but much louder! Thanks, Jaycent! Also, much thanks to Kathy for the course and classroom instructions. Old Glory staff should be proud. Was a great, well-attended event! You guys who didn't attend....you missed out! |

RoadRUNNER Touring Weekend July 9-11, 2009 I've signed up to do this event. It's looks to be a good time and it's not that far away. See attachment or link below. I've also booked a room at the Wisp Resort for this event. It's a Double Suite that has 3 beds. The event room rate is $129 per night regardless of the number of beds. Anybody what to share the room? http://www.roadrunner.travel/rrevents.php http://www.wispresort.com/ Room layout: http://www.wispresort.com/wisp/info/accommodations .aspx |

Yes, it was nice to see most everyone ...ahem, Dan. It's rare to see so many Buells in one place. Excellent ride to Frederick by Ramon and most impressed by the food at Brewers Alley. Oh, and a shout out to Kyle who bought his 12R about a month, ago. |

Great photos...who had the black Uly with the wrapped pipes, giant windscreen, and driving lights, photographed at Brewers Alley? Sorry I wasn't there - one of these days my life will calm down enough to say, "Honey, I can't help you with that, I'm going riding this morning." Any hints at the route you took to Frederick? |

looks like Tony got one of you on his Flickr account. I didn't get a chance to get my camera out! I had it with me but it never left the bike. The wheelie guy let me try the wheelie machine for free around 3:30 that thing was crazy |

PLEASE can anyone or everyone out there willing and able please go to your xb and put your finger on your air scoop on the air box? I'm talking about the front corners of the air scoop on the air box cover. A month or so ago I noticed my air scoop wAs loose, it was missing a clip on the under side of the air box (the scoop, clip, and air box are all one part.) My air box cover was replaced by warranty. Now on my new air box cover the same thing has happened. I checked out a buddy's xb and noticed his air box has play at the same corner. this indicates that he has a clip missing too. My theory is that many people are missing clips on their air scoops but don't know it. like I said if anyone can push down on the scoop just to the left or right of the gas cap, see if it moves. My first one just moved up and down, and this one has even moved forward due to the place that the clip is missing. the air scoop is held on the box by these clips going around the outer edge of the scoop. |

I have about 200 or so pictures from the event.. A lot of duplicates to tell the truth.. but I'm working on Race pics right now so haven't sorted them yet. I know got some of the 'course' being run.. as well as a few others.. I'll try and get some thrown up on Photobucket in a day or so and that way I can share the high res shots with ya'all.. Later.. |
