The factory belly pan could be made to work. You would have to cut a slot for the kickstand and a trim out the rear section for the tailpipe but it could work. Great job Kevin!! |

factory belly pan, you mean the exhaust ?? why would you carry around big lump of metal for no reason, be better to make pan outta fibreglass or something. and make it a better shape more in line with the pod shape and fairing |

Funktron, Thanks, but I've seen those pics and the video! Sorry to admit it, but I've been checking this thread at least twice a day since it was started. I give a couple days of inactivity, and then a healthy "bump" for preservation of lust! Just hoping for new info...I'm sooo not into the other pipes that have been released thus far, and am really wanting the Drummer to be "it". I have a small fund tucked away in hopes I can afford to be one of the first few buyers. SSShhhhhhh, don't tell my wife! |

This poem is titled "Too much time on my hands" Whose thread is this? I think I know. His shop is in North Carolina though. Kevin will not notice me lurking here, while I watch my street fill up with snow. The bike is ready, so is my gear. But no fun for me, this time of year. It sits in the garage, tween the shovels and rake My only solace, is my wife and imported beer. I start the bike, it has a sensual shake. Buell 1125R is the model and make. But the muffler is too quiet, just a bit queer if I had a Drummer, it would make the place quake! I had a vision, in a dream, oh so near. My wish had come true, the Drummer was here! oh raucous sounds, in my ear. beautiful raucous sounds in my ear. Ray PS Is it ready yet? |

LOL Ray. Update: All the parts are either in house or are on order for the first production run of 10. The longest lead items appear to be the waterjet cut parts. I'm leaning on the supplier to be fast. The jigs, fixtures, special tools and methods are all done for this model. We are estimating about one long day's labor to completely fabricate and finish one. We are still waiting on Paul to do the dyno runs at Gainsville. He's been really busy. Based on his track experience with the system we are pretty confident that the results will be good. Teaser:

I hope you guys have saved all winter. This system will not be cheap. Probably the most expensive one yet. The Buell community needs to recognize Kevin for his contributions to our brand. Way to go Kevin Drum! |
