I got the Clear Alternative taillight with the blinkers built in and I wired it myself because I didn't want to pay the dealership "who knows how much." works great but,the only problem is that I don't have a running light. I was wondering what I need to do or what I wired wrong if anyone had info or pictures of how I need to wire it that would be great. Thanks, -Tony |

I forgot to say I have been pulled over two times now for this. I got warnings both time but I'm getting sick of it. |

I have the integrated brake/signal light (with clear lens) from XBLights (www.xblights.com). It comes with running lights. It hooks up like a stock brake light, so the running light feature is "built-in" and there is nothing special that I had to do. Which light did you get? |

I would definitely consider a clear lens with a red LED. Getting rid of the red tail light lense would be sharp. I'm sticking with the stock turn signals (they work now too!) as I like the separation and contrasting color compared to the tail light. I always think back to following my bud on his Busa with his trick integrated undertail. I missed his signals all the time and I knew what to look for! |

With the clear alternatives taillight on my other bike I had to switch the running and brake light wires in the plug. Try that and see if it might work. D |

Pariah, I got the smoked taillight from clearalternatives I went to their website today to try and get some help but the part they sent me was not even listed so I'm really confused. |

Tony, I had a problem with the running lights coming on when the brake was activated and the brake light circuit on all the time. Quick wire switch fixed it for me. On an other note, I found the smoke w/red bulb kit on the website under 02-08 Firebolt. |

I'm very happy with my XBLights piece (clear lens, integrated signals)... passed safety inspection without any external turn signals no problem. Brake and signal lights are HIGHLY visible (brake is way better than stock, signals are at least as good as stock)! Running lights are highly visible, too: And it's really nice not having external/defective rear signals... BEFORE: AFTER: (Message edited by Pariah on January 25, 2009) |
