The only thing that has changed is there are some cosmetic accessories available, and the price increase for the 1125 models went into effect. Also the new shirts and stuff are online. |

I like the new T-shirts... Gotta get a set of the leather riding pants. Do you know who makes them for Buell? |

I think Joe Rocket. Buell also came out with an AGV GP Tech helmet. |

My buddy works for sullivans... One of the rocket distros, and he confirmed that rocket is doing the Buell stuff. Bummer is, they will not be carrying it. |

"What's up with this new font being used on hats and shirts." An attempt to "urbanize" the marketing? Dunno, but it looks kinda' gay off center and crooked like that.... OH, I bet when they turn their hat sideways it makes the logo straight! Now, do they have some boxers that will show the logo with our pants pulled down below our asses? |

It's a more "modern/instyle" look. I don't see anything wrong with it. Times, they are a changing. Don't take this the wrong way, but I know some of you old timers are pretty resistant to change and fashion. People get set in their ways and times. Marketing people are not stupid, they know what their doing. |

$99.95, freakin seriously. $0.50, and slap a sticker on it to do the same thing. |

At $99 I doubt its a sticker but real CF. |

"OH, I bet when they turn their hat sideways it makes the logo straight!" Swordsman, I think you are right! "Don't take this the wrong way, but I know some of you old timers are pretty resistant to change and fashion." No problem I'm sure the dealers will sale truck loads of those to the younger generation and the smart marketing staff can figure out another way to sale items to me and the other old gray haired farts with money. |

I saw those CF heel guards and though I think they're interesting I can't help but think: "Isn't the purpose of the heel plates by the footpegs there to prevent precisely THAT??" (Message edited by Jaimec on January 26, 2009) |

I've always dragged a heel on the swingarm on the 1125s. Thought it was just my 13's to blame...apparently, not just me. I think the heel plate at the peg is just to keep from rotating your foot too far inward, and getting it pinched if the suspension compresses. That, or they can't find a way to justify a HUGE, 9" long heel plate, lol. |

Hmmm. My heels stop just short of the swingarm, but the very point of the heel plate is worn clean thru to the metal. I can't help but think that the contact point between boot and swingarm might be higher than the "sticker" sits? What do you guys think who actually have scuffs already? |

Hate to break it to you but nearly all leather manufacturers, including many US companies have their sweat shop junk made somewhere not in the good ol'e US of A. Even the Italian manufactures that pride themselves on their fine Italian craftsmenship have their products made in Ukraine (Dainese) or Pakistan (Alpinestars). |

I believe both Vanson and Bates still produce their leather goods here (hence the premium mark up, as those other countries don't give a damn about their environment and clean air the way we do). |

They both make suits in the US, but still even the leather is processed overseas in places that don't give a damn about their environment. |

Vanson makes some stuff here and some stuff elsewhere, South America I believe. Without trying to come across as a rich or fancy man...I save my money and spend it on USA made stuff as often as I can. Custom Vanson Leathers, custom Stone Lake leathers, custom West Coast Boots, and custom gloves by Helimot and Lee Parks. |

It's why I like Aerostich. Most of the major clothing articles they sell are made right here (the Roadcrafter & Darien suits, the Kanetsu electric garments, etc). As they used to say: "The job you save may be your own." |
