Today was the first time I have had my XB9SL on a major state highway with long straight stretches. I was cruising along at around 55-65 MPH for 30 minutes or so. I noticed at around 60 MPH, I was hearing (or feeling?) what I can best describe as a rhythmic or pulsing humming noise. The cadence was almost like someone was counting ONEthousand, TWOthousand, etc. I only noticed it around 60 MPH...I believe that speeding up or slowing slightly made it go away. This was in 5th gear running about 3500 RPM. Am I hearing some sort of resonance? Wheel or bearing vibration? Evil spirits? Hallucinations? Is this a warning sign that something in particular needs to be checked when the bike is getting its 1000 mile service next week? Appreciate any suggestions. My apologies if this should be in the Knowledge Vault. brad

Brad, I hear/feel that resonance too at those same speeds on my XB9S. I have 8200 miles on mine with no problems what so ever. Keith |
