Okay I can now hear my fuel pump when riding whining away at idle over my Jardine exhaust and through my helmet. It was never this noisy before. Am I correct to assume it is on its last gasps before dying and needs to be replaced? My bike has just over 10,000 miles so seems fairly early but would rather replace it then get stranded or have it die on me on the freeway. Also do I need a puller to get it out? I read through the manual and doesn't look too bad but not sure if I really need the puller or not. Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

better safe than sorry. A puller is nice but not absolutely needed, the pump is pretty stubborn on coming out. |

At 10000 miles I would suspect it is starving for fuel rather than toasted. May well need a prefilter change and that's all. |
