All you should have is the line from the petcock to the carb. No inline filter or anything like that.

This is going to be an extremely dumb question then. Where is the fuel filter located?

No fuel filter. Although there may be a screen over the intake tube in the tank.

You can pull the petcock from the tank and clean the screen.
