Hey guys, I removed the passenger pegs from my new CR but I am having trouble deciding how to route the fuel vent hose so that gas doesn't drip onto my swingarm, belt, wheel, belt guards, etc. If it didn't drip so much, I would just cut the tube off where it peeks out from under the seat. Any ideas? I read the thread about the California-spec collector, but I really don't want to do it that way if I can avoid it. I'm actually thinking about using some sort of reservoir along the lines of the remote reservoirs used for the front brakes of most Japanese bikes, but if someone has a better idea I would like to hear it! Thank you. John |

How about a little cable clamp that you can mount to 1 of the bolts the passenger pegs use? Should help keep it out of the way.

I used the factory hard line and ran it down the left side of the bike inside of the frame. I didnt cut the line and it fit pretty well. Hangs down below the engine like the imports. Havent had any problems yet. Drips away from the bike. (Message edited by voodoo on January 18, 2009) |

Thank you P_squared - I really like your idea. I might be able to angle the hose out away from the bike and then cut it off there. Otherwise, I may get a longer section of hose and route it all the way to the back of the bike and out near the license plate. Hooligan - yeah, it dripped at least 10-15 times on the ground after I stopped the bike today. It had already dropped several drops on the swingarm and surrounding plastic guards on the left side behind the motor. I initially thought it must've been an oil leak somewhere, but it wasn't oil at all. Thank you guys for the input. Any other ideas, people??? |

Voodoo - did you use clips or zip-ties or anything to do that? Another very good idea, by the way! Thanks. |

I used a small clamp and secured it the ummmm..... I guess oil cooler line. (I really need to get a service manual and do some studying) I tightened it enough to hold it in place but give it a little room to move since its a two piece line that I secured it to. |

Thank you Voodoo. I'll try to do your modification. That seems simple, easy, and clean looking. Excellent! |

I ran mine out the rider's right instead of on the left side. From the airbox, it's easiy to route down so the end of the tube provided sticks out just below the rear set on the right side. Seems to be perfect so far. |

Jdugger, I may look into rerouting mine that way too. Thanks. |
