Author Message   Fasted Posted on Sunday, January 18, 2009 - 08:22 am:        gotta remove my shock for a rebuild at racetech. i am up for any advice for things to do or not to do to make it go smoothly. any info, hints, or advice is welcome   Gasaxe Posted on Sunday, January 18, 2009 - 12:05 pm:        I would be interested in your opinion of the rebuilt shock ,over the next year or so.Over here in UK it is generally thought that rebuilds on the showa shock are not cost effective,and that the shock starts to leak fairly soon after rebuild. Just take the weight with a jack under the engine ,and take out the bolts. If you are going to use them or similar things, you will need to support a non folding area. You could use the footpeg mount base as a jack point.
