OK so I bought new tank cover decals but the problem is I dont know exactly where to place them. After I painted my bike I have nothing at all to go off of to line them up.The new ones dont come with a template which is rather dumb and I hate to place them in the wrong place.Does anybody have any tips, tricks, measurements, pics or anything else that can help me.PLEASE Here is a pic of the decals

I haven't placed badges. If I were going to do it I'd use some blue painters tape to put an 'upper' line on the tank, and eye it up. When I felt it was right I'd measure it from the edge of the tank (front and rear) w/ a piece of paper and a pencil to mark the measurement. Using the marked paper copy the line on the opposite side of the tank. Then tape where the beginning edge of the badge will be. Eying it up again. Go about boxing in the area the badge will go. You will need to make some type of spacer for the letters unless they are adhered to something that holds them till they are affixed to the bike. Good luck! and let us know how it turns out... |
