I just got a new sponsorship deal that can hook me up pretty good on the Arlen Ness suits. My A* suit is fine right now, and I really should save money where ever I can, but it is just so tempting. Textile suits are kind of frowned upon at the track. If you are going to get a two piece, get a leather one. I'll see you at the Loudon. Check out Google's public calendars for a list of track events in the New England area. Search the public calendars for eboos205@gmail.com. The events start in April. |

Eboos- itll be my first year coming up, im in brewer maine rate next to bangor so its a trip but not bad. but i have a friend name joe karen which has a 1098s and he use to race and does just track days now so ill go down with him when i can, which will help me get oriented with everything. ill just have to buy a leather two piece for track days and get some textiles for the hotter street riding days. this is a great thread duggram. good info. |

The longer the connecting zipper, the better. Alpinestars 2 piece suits pretty much only zip about 1/2 way which fully covers the back. That is the biggest thing that inspectors look for, that when you are in a riding position, you are fully covered instead of the back of the jacket seperating from the pants. I have a A* MX1 jacket and a set of track pants that I used all summer 2 years ago, plus a track day when it was hot as balls. I use underarmor underneath my suits, so I didn't feel hot at all. They are very well vented, and almost feel too cold in 60 degree weather. Boston Moto is going to be a new track day organizer, and they will have some pretty inexpensive days. Then there is also Tony's Trackdays, they are awesome. Sorry, I never met Joe to my knowledge. |

thats awsome about the cheaper track days, at 250 just for the track pass would limit my ability to go more the a couple times. so itll be great to get some more time in. do they have a schedule yet, well ill stop high jeckin this thread. but its good to know theres option when it comes to 1 piece to 2 piece |

I just picked up a Vanson Volante at the Vanson South Coast Celebration. The one I picked up was a used trackday suit from the Freddie Spencer school. It has some roadrash. No holes or tears. Vanson cleans and repairs the suit and gives it a 1 year warranty. They were priced according to condition. I paid $275 but it was 35% off and I also received a coupon for an additional $50 off after entering a $1000 raffle from Vanson as well. I ended up getting a pair of gloves at $20 off and a suit hanger for $10 off. Doz got a suit for $375 plus 35% off. His suit looked nicer than mine. It looked like it only went down once. My suit looked like it went down twice. Awesome deals!!!! |

I just bought a Teknic Speedstar suit. It is their top of the line suit. I found one on ebay that was brand new. I even found one in the color that I wanted. I spent more than I wanted but from everything I have been told and read the suit is supposed to be a tank. I plan on doing alot of track days and would like to run some wera races some day so I wanted a suit that would last. Now I need a better set of gloves and I will be set.Now I have to wait until April or May to put it to good use . |

I know some guys at TerraMotorsports.com. This is where I get my Alpinestars Replica 1 pieces from. They have many other great 1 and2 piece suit offerings. Free shipping which is obviously praised when dealing with thousand dollar purchases. Try em out even though you probably have. |

Update: I recently picked up a used Fieldsheer 1 piece "Flex" suit for $200. It is their second to best suit and lists for $800 or so. Pics to follow. |

My good buddy who rides an RSV-4 has a Fieldsheer 1-piece. I think it's a great suit for the $350 he had to pay. But on another more irrelevant point, I seen a kid no older than 17, lay down his '04 Blast on light gravel on a nearby backroad. I guessed it an '04 or '05 due to the bigger logo on the tank. I rode over to him and he was good. Turns out it was his sisters bike. |

How the hell did he get a RSV-4? I was told that they would not be available until September. I just asked on Saturday. |

Haha Good Lord, I meant RSV-R. Not the 65 degrees V four unit engine that's not even available to the public yet. On another note, the RSV-4 does look sick. Especially the Ohlins fork they strap on it. I couldn't see myself riding it though. I got one spaghetti noodle in my garage; wouldn't want another. |
