The erratic behavior from the Dunlops was in a straight line and under neutral load.
Worked fine in the corners under normal circumstances. |

I'd say that was true until you got 7500 miles on them and then they sucked all over. |

When Okc99 says "squirrely", I think I know what he's talking about. Since about 1,000 miles ago, the flickability of my Uly has almost disappeared...it suddenly acts like turning it is on a sharp fulcrum: you're either left, right, or straight - nothing in between. Cornering feels like it has a bit of a "notch" or an edge...not smooth like it used to be. I'm still such a new rider (4.5 years, 4 bikes, countless rentals, 31,000+ miles) that I've never used up a front tire! Reading this forum definitely reminds me that it's time - I predict that it will solve the problem.

If you have Sync's and your TWI is showing on the sides of your front tire, you need new tires. |

Super Bike School.....awesome find. Cornering School?! YES! It's almost as if they heard this thread and made a class. Who in the DC area is interested in doing this???

5000 miles on every tire I've tried, they turn to crap after that. Only reason I haven't swapped my 9k syncs is because I won't be going nuts till spring, I will put on Stradas then. |

Stradas suck.
They were the only tire I hated more than the D616's. |

Ft_bstrd, Did they do that on pavement or in the dirt? What don't you like about them? I like Stradas, but I keep them on pavement. |

I didn't like the profile at all. I don't need the bike to be any more "responsive". I can shrug my colossal shoulders and slightly shift my gigantic mass any direction I need and the bike will go that way.
The Stradas have a very triangular profile. I hated that. It make the Uly tend to dump into turns and cause it to fee skittish while in turns. I never, ever trusted the traction.
That and I completely skulled a "sport touring" tire in 1800 miles.
I prefer the more rounded profile of the Michelins or Avons. |

The guys is correct, I also had some lower speed handling issues with my 07. It was partly the tires and partly the fuel map.
It would seem the bike would dip in just a bit extra in low speed turns. I "think" it was because the fuel map would cut out at lower rpm speeds.
Fattened up the race map and was ok. |

I have used 4 different tires and I am going back to the Diablo Stada and thought it was the best one I used. I guess different tires for different riding styles. I think FB rides a little more agressively than I and probably doesn't 2 up it too much either. |
