Yes! I believe he means the 2 cable system. The Blast carb is almost identical to all the other CV carbs. Many parts interchange (jetting, etc). The big difference is the aforementioned choke. The Blast electric 'choke' is in no way interchangeable with the manual 'choke' on the other carbs (wish it was). The Blast carb also doesnt have an accelerator pump. The carb body does have a spot for it, it is missing the linkage and a few other parts as well as some holes. |

PS I run 'Big Twin' carbs on both my Blasts. |

So what is the jetting with the accelerator pump? On both bikes? Is acceleration better or worse? EZ (Message edited by ezblast on January 21, 2009) |

Pumps are disconnected. Both the manual choke and the accelerator pump are way to rich for a Blast. The pump isnt adjustable (like some carbs-its probably possible, but...) and its far too much trouble to try and jet it with the pump connected. I'm not sure anybody has been successful using the pump on a near 'stock' street Blast. Some report that it works initially, but what really happens is the pump is dry from sitting and it takes awhile for the pump to start working. Then the problems start. |
