Today, I feel like the luckiest man alive. It has always been my dream to see negative perfection in the NFL, 0-16. I never dreamed that my team, the Lions, had it in them to finish the job. Well, after a few close calls where defeat was pried from claws of victory, perfection. 0-16, just an amazing feat of dedication to perfect futility. Earlier this week I felt pretty confident that it would happen, so I ordered one of these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item =150305834451 I'll wear it with pride for years to come. |

I always assumed the 'bad' bit was you - not the team. |

Now I'm pulling for the Eagles to beat the Cowboys today, since the Lions have Dallas' 1st, 3rd and 6th round draft picks in April from the Roy Williams trade. GO IGGLES!! |

Speaking of football, I had a bet with a Pats fan, damnut or doughnut, i dont remember, over the winner of the AFC east. He bet Pats would, and as a packers fan and a favre fan, i bet the jets would win. Who in the F*** would have guessed the dolphins would win that division? If anyone can help me out and tell me who I might have had that bet with, or the man himself, that would be cool. I say the bets off, or we owe eachother a T shirt, your call! |

>>Who in the F*** would have guessed the dolphins would win that division? << I'm not surprised - Parcells is really good. The Lions made the news in NZ. Usually it's only the superbowl that gets a mention. |

Who in the F*** would have guessed the dolphins would win that division? That's what screwed us Pats fans. Who the hell would have thought the Dolphins could have pulled it around like that. Parcells is surely a genius. Goes to show just how good the AFC is though. Pats being 11-5 and don't make the playoffs? Amazing... |

The Jets were really tossing the ball around after the referee screamed "the games not over yet!" 7 seconds on the clock, it was amusing to see all of those tosses to try and get a touchdown. My money is on the Ravens the way we played last night we'll crush the Dolphins! |

I don't think he was ever really good Joe Flacco is the man! Troy said he learned a lot from Mc Nair, I was so glad to see that dude go! |

Troy Smith was who the team had wanted to start goin into camp. Smith got some illness that I can't remember and don't care enough to look up and he missed most of the preseason. Flacco was pushed into the starting roll and showed some signs of life. So they stuck with him. Looks like it was a good idea. |

Rod Marinelli, head coach of the Lions, was fired today. A good man who was over his head as a head coach. The front office personnel are mostly being kept on, as of course is the owner. More losses to come. Is it spring yet? |

Not sure how I feel about Rod gettin canned. Best I could tell, the Lions were still trying and playing hard, they just didn't have enough good players, especially on the defensive side. On the flip side of that, I see and hear a lot about the Browns living here in Ohio, and that team quit on Romeo weeks ago. So far the Lions, Browns and Jets have fired their coaches. Let the Cowher auction begin. |

Speaking of football, I had a bet with a Pats fan, damnut or doughnut, i dont remember, over the winner of the AFC east. He bet Pats would, and as a packers fan and a favre fan, i bet the jets would win. Hey Ken you made the bet with me. I'll let the my fellow Badwebbers decide if a shirt is owed or not. What I stated in that thread: Come on Dana please. The Giants where good last year and my Patriots had their heads up their asses during the SB. The last game of the season proved that the Giants could play with the them. The SB was no fluke, remember they won ALL of their game on the road against quality opponents, including your beloved Packers. I watch plenty of football too my friend and since I am a Patriots fan I think I know the AFC East a little better than you. Brett has NO chance in the AFC East and I am willing to put my money where my mouth is on this one, are you???? AND: no I don't know more than they do but I do know this THE JETS ARE NOT AS GOOD AS THE PATRIOTS AND THAT'S A FACT!!! EVEN WITH BRETT. While the Jets will be better with him they still have to play the Pats twice and they are not even close to being as good as them. And don't forget Indy and Pittsburgh are in the AFC. The Jets will be LUCKY to make the playoffs this year. They sure as hell ain't going to win the AFC East. Would you like to wager on that?? I'm willing to make the same bet with you that I made with Buellina the last 2 years. A HD shirt from my local, dealer for a HD shirt from yours. How good do you think the Jets will be this year?? Your response: Damnut, the Patiots are aging, and the Giants showed that a great pass rush can rattle Brady and make him look foolish. Their riegn is over. They signed John Lynch for crying out loud! What is he, 100? Besides, now that cheating has been outlawed, the Pats have lost that edge. Ill bet you that T shirt the Jets win the division. Well, If you go off what I said, I owe you a shirt. But, what were the terms of the bet you made with Buellina? I guess I just assumed it was either or, not just yes or no for the Jets. A t shirt is a small price to pay for a misinterpretation. PM with size and addy |
