Looks like I'll be heading north for about a month in the next week and a half or two. What are the roads like around Wyandotte? whats the weather like up there in September? What can I expect on the local Buell scene? I think my group is trying to rent me a house somewhere in the Wyandotte area, so what are the crime and other social issues of the area like? How big of a gun do I need to pack? Are there any homebrew supply stores nearby? So many question.....I'm packing the bike on the back of the truck, and now it looks like I'll have somewhere to keep it close by, if not, I'll take you up on the offer of garage space Spidey. See yall in a couple of weeks! Deadduck |

deadduck I only live a few miles from Wyandotte. Its a pretty quiet town on the River. Right on Jefferson there is a coffee shop where the bikers hang out. Weather wise we get a mix of weather. I have seen it go from 80 and sunny to snowing in one day during sept. Let me know when you get into town and where youll be staying. 734-323-2909. Nick |

Deadduck, Jugs is right. Sept in Mich in general is pretty awesome, but the weather can switch up pretty quick. I'm not sure about the roads in Wyandotte specifically, but Mich roads are notoriously bad. Potholes that can swallow you whole if you're not paying attention are the norm and construction season is in full swing right now. However, don't be discouraged. If you know where to go there are some amazing 2-lane back roads that wind through the country side all over the place. I've been exploring the area around my place (30 miles west of Ann Arbor) and I've found some really sweet riding. Great for a noob like me and I'm sure an experienced rider would be challenged without a problem. I've put over 1300 miles on my new Blast in the last 3 weeks just riding aimlessly and letting the road lead me wherever it may. I think you'll be pleased. P.S. I used to live near Stockbridge. My dad lives in Rutledge! Small world ya'll! |

Yes I can ride without a speedo, but after getting pulled over twice already because of it, I choose not to to try and avoid any tickets. Need a clean driving record for work. Hopefully it comes in today. |

Jugs, Bummer about the sensor. I understand about the driving record though. Let's try to get something organized in the future. If anyone wants to head out this way sometime I'd be glad to show you around. Give a shout out. Swampy, I'm in your area occasionally. In-Laws in Grand Ledge and a family friend in Hubbardston. Who knows? |

I finally got a firm start date for work up in Wyandotte. I'll be heading that way Labor Day weekend and starting work on Tuesday the 8th. I still have no idea where I'll be staying as of yet, but I'm assuming that it'll be in the Wyandotte area. I know Spidey lives a little ways from there, so if I don't have anywhere to keep the bike, garage, shed, or can't get it into the living room, is there anyone in the immediate area of that part of town that would be willing to let me keep her there. I'm hoping I can at least roll her into the living room at my place if nothing else cause I'd like to be able to jump on her at will and explore. If not, I'll be helping Spidey clean up his garage |

I've got room in the garage, but I'm in Sterling Heights. Little ways from Wyandotte, 35 miles, 45-50 mins away. Actually on the North side of D-town. Let me know if there are no other takers.....and you need a place to keep her for a bit. |

mainly put her up during the week is my guess. I'd like to commute on it, but I'm not wanting to leave her in an apartment parking lot. I plan on weekend exploration of that great state of yours probably camping along the way. So yall think about possible destinations for me and also all are welcome to join in. |

Swampy I ordered it from Chris at Liberty HD. He forgot to place the order and when I checked on it yesterday he finally put it in. Deadduck I dont have a garage, but if you have a cover for it and dont mind keeping it outside you are more then welcome to park it next to mine in the driveway. |

American H-D contacted me yesterday because they have the new fairing in stock for the 1125R. They installed it on one of their bikes and sent me some pics. I think the side fairings look unfinished without the belly pan.

DeadDuck, I live in Wyandotte so I could definitely show you some cool places to ride in the area. As for a place to store your bike....my Uly takes up the majority of the room in my shed but you are welcome to keep your bike in my secure back yard with concrete parking. Perhapse we could put up a temporary shelter for your bike to keep it out of the elements. As for the weather up here, September is a great time to ride around. Not too hot, not too cool! If you are interested let me know and I will PM you my phone number to make arrangements. I look forward to having a fellow Bueller to ride with around here! |

Anyone want to ride Saturday 8/29? I'm thinking about the Huron river drive areas from down river to Ann Arbor and such! Any takers, lets post a meet time and place! |

Thanks Justin, I'll keep that secure backyard in mind. Shoot me your number and I'll call you when I get into town and settled. Another general question. My back tire is on its way to the chords, probably got about 500 maybe 600 left on it. I bought a new tire for it, but want to use as much of the old one as I can. Is there a local shop that is trusted to change tires (reasonably priced), or does anyone have a stand where I can spoon it on myself? Or would I just be better off changing it before heading up? |

I agree with you Derek, that 1125 don't look right without the belly pan. they should be ashamed to take that picture with it like that. |

I've got front and rear stands and tools if needed. I always remove my own tires and run them up to STG. They changed and balanced fronts and rears for $60 if you take them off yourself. http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/StoreFront.bo k |
