That was indeed a great time. Thanks for the hospitality, Bob and Deb. Sofa king good to see you all again. Condolences, Galen. That would be Bettie, BTW. There was a quarter page bio in the Seattle paper that we clipped and saved for you, should you want it. Jaci and I had a great time also in Seattle. The Highway 99 Blues Bar. Dinner at Ivar's, because we napped until too late to find anything else open. And spent the day at the Music Museum (of which the Jimi Hendrix museum is just a part)and Science Fiction Museum. It was all very cool. See you all in March, if not sooner. |

Yes, yes, yes, sofa king fun at the Gathering of the Tribe. I now want one of them KTM Orange Space Ships! Damn... I worked for about three hr's. in the freaking freezing outdoors on that Buell the other day. I think she identified to closly with her namesake, and has tried to emulate Betty's exit from this Mortal Coil... 'cause when I started her up fuell started pouring out of the back jug at the head gasket. Anurisum, looks like. Not putting any more $ into her till I'm rich. Saving for a new used Speed Tripple, I am, I am. yup. |

Yea Baby! Emergency vehicles are grounded, so there ain't much to do. I think I may go exploring in the old, closed wing. It used to be the ICU & old surgery suites... |

Went and bought Moto GP '08 fer the PS3 today. Gona start practicing for the Daytona Party. Back it in, baby! If I get some time later, I'll talk about the stuff I found in the basement here... |

I'm also going crazy from lack of two-wheel (and occasionally one-wheel) time... However, driving to the store this evening and getting stuck 3 times on the way back is very sobering. Where the hell is that "global warming" we've heard so much about?! Galen, you mentioned that you were going to be like most of the folks in this section of the forum and buy a Triumph... We'll have to swap rides at some point so I can see what all the fuss is about. Let me know if you want an opponent on the PS3; I was pretty darn good at Tourist Trophy! |

What's in the basement buddy? Maybe my long lost Uncle Earnie? We're still looking and hoping he'll show up somewhere. My daughter Catherine spent the day barfing and I spent my day cudling. Sucks this close to Christmas. Cheers FunJimmy |

Ok, so this part of the basement has been closed off for the last 20-25 years, and it is a strange place indeed. I had to kinda climb-fight my way in through these old automatic doors. They were kinda sealed shut with some kinda horrible, sticky gruel. Coulda been old dried blood by the look of it... I didn't taste it... When I got through I was in what looked like and old patient ICU area, but with all kinds a weird equipment I have never seen befor. Almost looks like torture equipment, but a lot of medical sh it looks like that. I guess a lot of the older medical tools look like something to torment some poor sap from the Spanish Inquisition when your not sure what they are for. So I was snooping around, being pretty quiet since I wasn't s'posed to be there, when I noticed a kinda blue-green light comming from under the door at the end of the hall. It was labled 'Surgery'. The door was partly off it's hinges and when I opened it it made a really freaky squeeky noise that made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. There are tanks of different anesthetic gasses tipped over and laying on the floor leaking a kinda low-lying fog all over the place. I.V. poles with glass bottles still hanging from them are scattered around, and they haven't used glass for a bunch of years. Most of the lables aren't readable any more... I couldn't see where the colored lights were comming from, and the 'mist' flowing around on the floor was a bit... much. I ain't no chicken, but this was getting to be a bit much. I started to head back, and couldn't seem to locate the door. I figured I musta just got turned around so I kept walking abit farther and found another room labled 'Psych'. Holy Crap! There was a table with torn, dirty sheets, and some sh it with a gob of wires like a Hydra's hair pokeing out of a kinda headset. It looked kinda like an old school hair-dryer... one of them things that fold down over your head. The gurney it was sitting on had hand and leg restraints built into it. As my eyes adjusted to the low-light level, I started to be able to make out some of the other stuff lying around. Like a chunk of rubber with bite marks in it, and jars half filled with coagulated... stuff. Then it flashed on me what I was looking at; an old electro-shock therapy suite. Goto go save some lives, more later from Galen (Message edited by sparropie on December 23, 2008) |

Galen maybe you should stay out of those unknown places. You crack me up! I guess you must of found the door to get out huh? Snowed in today, work closed it's doors for both Chris and I. We have approx 12 inches of the white stuff now. I am in heaven! I love the snow if the sun can't shine! Hope that everyone is safe and warm. If I don't post again we wish you all a Happy Holiday Season and a great New Year! Loni PS, Sorry that we missed seeing everyone at the IMC Show. We will see you in March. |

If it wasn't for the 4X4 I'm not sure what I'd do. It's nice to see that cabin fever gets people posting. I dragged out the Moto GP '07 for XBox 360. I have to practice if I'm going to keep up in March. Have a great Christmas everyone! Harv |

I found this a bit humorous:SP. Standing in line at the local butcher shop to pick up a holiday ham. Question. "Do you prefer the butt, or the shank! Pause; I'm thinking, Hmmm, do I say ; Ahh yes Im an Ass Man "I prefer the Butt"! A bit of chuckling goes on and we go about our way. Merry Christmas To all and a Happy new year!! |

We've had a good 2 feet of snow, but with the rain today it is down to 8 inches or so. Kids aren't coming in til the 30th, so we will pretend that Santa was delayed. Or got laid. Merry Christmas to all of you. Is Deb home yet? Is she on two feet? Inquiring minds want to know. |

I'm afraid I am hopelessly addicted to Moto GP'08. Got the kid a PS3, and me a game! I'm tryin' to cut back, but it's got a hold on me. Was up 'till 4am the first night. Trying to do just a little bit less everyday, but I keep relapsing, backsliding,... useing. How do you guys do it? Stop playing and go to work? Eat? Sleep? It's become an all-consuming activity... and I LIKE IT! But I am at work now. Dumb ol' Christmas anyway. Gona head back down to the catacombs a little later and explore some more... |

Paul, I've tested the 1125R, and the CR... I would get one but for the economic realities I must face. There are no good deals on used 1125's... yet! I would love to stay with Eric, but that's what's leading me to the DarkSide. The power/$ ratio is good on the Trumpets, and I used to own a Bonnie back in '86 that I kinda liked. I need something that runs like a top, not a bike that is a violent, uncontrolled explosion; a clinking, clattering, cacophony of crashed parts and crinkled paint... trying to vibrate it's molecules into multiple dimensions, or a higher state of existence. Remember in Forrest Gump when he's running into the field with little blond girl yelling; "Run Forest, run", and all his leg braces started flying off in a cloud of shinny parts? That's what my wife sez Betty reminds her of... a bike with a halo of parts trailing along behind her in a cloud of dollar signs. I could a bought a new RSV with the green invested in my Buell. Or a Duke... or that crazy Orange KTM... |

Galen, that's definitely understandable... It does seem that the foreign bikes, even with the large tariffs imposed, are still far cheaper than stuff made here. Doesn't make much sense to me. As long as you're on 2-wheels, that's all that matters anyway. I hope you find a great bike at an even better price. |

Galen, Deb said you described the death of a buell.(Funny)She still loves Buells but the Dark Sides brightness keeps shining bright. Her best day on a Buell was riding Brandons (Rat) Buell over hwy 20. Merry Christmas every one. Bob |
