I got my Uly recently with no windshield, which was ok during the summer but now it's time for one. I'm not even going to waste money on a stock one so I was looking at the Buell tall one. But I was wondering.....How does the zero gravity compare to the Buell tall? |

Lots and lots and lots of posts on this one. Trouble is, there is no consistent feedback as to which one is best. Depends on your height, weight, gear, helmet, tankbag, etc. Then you have the option of the palmer brackets to try and fine tune. Me, I use the zero gravity. Extremely noisy for me. Tried brackets similar to the palmer ones, still did not fix. But that is just me. Only real complaint about the bike is wind noise. (would probably complain about the fan, but I can not hear it) You might try a search when you have plenty of time to read. |

I agree with Cycletlh, seems people really have a love hate relationship with a lot of different models. I ended up putting on the medium California Scientific on mine, and I like it, but there is still some wind noise that I would love to get rid of. Wayne |

I would recommend the palmer brackets, turns one windshield into over 9 windshields. I am running the Buell tall on brackets and I think that is as good as it is going to get. BTW I am 6'-0" with a fairly long torso. I believe Strada is making windshields as well, worth checking into. |

The only thing for wind noise is ear pulgs! They even make the transmission shift smoother!! |

I just mounted a parabellum that I bought off the PO of my bike. Its big, its ugly, but boy does it keep the wind off which was nice this morning with the temp around 32. I think in the spring I'll get the lamair lip for warm weather. |

Just dropped my bike (again) while taking the muffler off, and scuffed my stock wind screen pretty bad. Anyone have a stocker they want to get rid of? |

Maybe a trade for a Buell tall screen? |

I've got the ZG+4 and a Parabellum cut to 16" on the palmer brackets. Like the looks of the ZG but the Para' is slightly curved & about 4" wider, provides pretty decent wind protection. Ya gotta wear earplugs no matter what...if ya ever want to hear 'Stairwaytoheaven' at less than 200 db. Ayyyy?? Ian's windshild looks pretty good - If I didnt already have 3 windshields, I'd likely try one. |

I saw there was another recall for the 08 XB12XT in the Motorcycle Consumer News on the windshield. K |

Kathy - AFAIK, it's just a second wave of fastener recall, from a screw-into-rubber-with-nut, to a screw-thru-rubber-to-washer-and-real-nut. |

I like it all scratched up. It was off my Uly, so when I finish my flyscreen conversion its going back on as some kind of memorial Looks great with my ground up Tuono mirrors |

I recently purchased a large windscreen from Strada. I couldn't be happier! Paired with his Palmer Brackets I've definitely re-routed the wind flow to just above my forehead, instead of right at my chest with the stock windscreen. I'm 6'2". Of course I still get wind noise, but that's par for the course. I also still feel the wind on my shoulders, but at least it's not blowing up my helmet.

if you can handle it, take the windscreen off all together. a lot less noise than with either the standard or the tall windscreen that buell has. never got to try a strada, but i would like to some day. right now, i enjoy the little noise that i get with no windscreen. |

All I have is the strada and the scarred stock screen I pictured above. The strada unit is nice! At the moment I am running no screen, it sure as hell makes a difference for me, feels 90 degrees colder, but no change in noise. |

I'll probably go back to the small Stock screen (or no screen), once the summer weather returns. But for now, in the cold weather months I'm happy with this setup! |
