Good for you!! A good majority of my family is from the Lake County area and I get a little tired of the whole 'keep up with the jones' attitude...they almost always act like they're better than us because we, A: live in WI, B: don't wear everything clad in Tommy Hilfiger, and C: don't understand the concept of the "look but don't touch" formal living room..... Sorry..I'll stop griping now...It's just that it's almost christmas time and time to go down to Libertyville to hang out with my cool aunt and uncle with my cousins whom I barely know.... |

Heck Bomber...I had two perfectly wonderful wives. Just wish I had been home more than 10 weeks a year to protect my vested interests! Lost the first one to the Sexual Revolution of the '70's and the second one to the freakin' God Squad. Translation: Absence doesn't always make the heart grow fonder. Sometimes it wanders. Won't have that problem with the next one. I am done traveling for biz. So if the next one blows up, I will accept responsibility. Ain't that an interesting concept. LOL Oh Crap!!! Did I just say next one. Somebody get me a shrink quick. I must be losing it. |

I haven't bought a gift for someone I didn't like since I left grade school and the whole random name santa thing got left behind. So that loius vattan is clothing or furniture? Ahh, heck with it, never mind I got better things to memorize. So when integrating high order partial derivatives I should first take the gradient of... |

Thats the way to do it. Vegas!! Got married there this time & won enough on slots that the whole damn trip & wedding was free And Christmas is a crock. Like was mentioned earlier, buy a bunch of shit for people that the other 364 days of the year you couldnt care less about them. Now I just buy for the kids & grandkids. The wife & I dont even buy each other anything because all year we buy whatever we want when we want. |

Whew, Thanks folks....That was close. Tell ya what, seeing as I am still single, I will teach classes on "in-depth interviewing" and "pre-nuptual agreements." Don't know if I am any good at the IDI's but at least it should be fun. Should be sorta like carb cleaning only much longer. Think I read about that somewhere. I just don't remember where. Concerning the PNA's, I know a guy (former customer) that was going to write a book on them. Hell, with seven ex-wives and three lost corporations, he should know. Not to mention, his attorney finally got it right. Funny thing is his kids range from 40 to 55 and when I ask how's Mom, they always respond...Which one??? CJ...You wanna teach the class for the guys??? |

me, I LOVE Christmas . . . . I expend very little energy on folks I don't want too (I'm very lucky in this regard) and a fair amount on those that I care for . . .. to each his own, I spose |

Do the same for Xmas. Is a year round thing. Why make someone wait for something they really want/need now. Just make sure you still get credit for it come the holiday. LOL Buying for adults is fun, easy and also very stupid. Buying for children has gotten to be way too expensive. Gosh, anything I want to get for my cousins kids (two boys/three girls) would put me in the poor house and the stuff that is affordable just is way too underwhelming. Thank you TV. Grrrrr... The other problem I am faced with is I only see the kids once a year. Maybe twice a year if someone dies or has a special day. As a result, I am clueless as to what they like/have/want/need. Ask the parents and I get no help what so ever. Great...What ever happened to the Christmas Lists we used to write out? The way I get even for the lack of cooperation is to buy the kids anything that makes a lot of noise and gets them running around the house like a stampede. Figure between the annoyance and broken lamp factors, I have gotten sweet revenge. Damn, I must be getting old. Oh well, at least I am not to the "Bah Humbug" stage yet. |
